I need a small compact camera that I can carry in my pocket and take good quality pictures. I’m considering buying either Canon SD600 or SD450. I think I’ll probably get the SD600 which is 6 MP instead of 5 MP (SD450), although I may not have a need for it but would be good to have just in case.
I also looked into Sony DSC-T9 and Casio Exslim, but based on some online reviews and feedback leaning towards SD600.
If you have any feedback…thoughts…experience…on this please let me know.
I have a SD450, which was the most bang for the buck i could get, as the jump in price from 400 - 450 wasn't much. 600 is approx $100 more for an extra mpx and nothing more. For samples check out my UK Trip thread in travel.
Casio Exclim is a very cute camera as well, but i don't know how it performs.
There are 2 tiny little screws holding the the memory card in...have to buy compatible screw driver to open it.
It is annoying that they designed it this way. This means that if I run out of space on the card and need to insert a new one in, I'll have to have the screw driver handy to replace it.
Haww, that can't be right. What if you leave the screws out, the lid doesn't stick?
You can just leave a 1-2 gb card in there if all else fails.
It really is strange though.
Difference between 5 and 6 mp is not visible at all.. it only makes a difference if u go from 5 to 8 mp..otherwise it's pretty much the same.. I have a 6mp Sony and I love it...
I have the Casio (EX-S500) and I happen to be very happy with it, thankyouverymuch.
I have it in metallic orange and one day I hope to buy an Infiniti FX45 in the matching colour. The matching colour is available, they had an FX45 in it at the Toronto Autoshow…
