Canon Powershot S2 IS 5.0mp

Hi,
does anyone here own this camera?? I’m asking because something just doesn’t seem right about this cam..maybe coz it’s big or heavy in size…something has to be wrong with it as it looks too good for a $499/$449 value. The best thing I like about it is its 12x optical zoom and ofcourse canon brand is awesome too…dunno if I should buy it.

What you guys think?

For the same price, there are much better options available in the market at this moment. For the superzoom (12X or more) range, the best point-and-shoot camera is the Panasonic FZ-20. FZ-20 has a much better lens than S2 IS. As the younger brother of FZ-20 is already out, named FZ-30, you should be able to grap an FZ-20 at a very good price.
