My friend bought that camera few months back.. as is interested in photography.. but he also says that to understand the features it takes a long time.. and if one is just interested in home use- its a waste.. I have canon s200 works great for me.. s230 may be a better choice ..
currently i have kodak DX 3900 which easy to use camera i am looking for something that can take pics crystal clear..G3 sounds good
the g3 is excellent for someone interested in photography. there is a new g5 out, but i assume you are'nt interested. the g3 allows you to take shots using it's amazing manual mode. the S series is in a totally different league. No need comparing it to the G series.
Another great camera in the price range is the F series by Sony. Great hightshots and low light shots.
you'll notice the difference from the moment you pick it up. its far superior to the kodak you have.
