Canned spinach

Hey my household affairs mentors :@:

Can anyone please give me a good palak chicken recipe. I have canned spinach with me. But since I am not a big fan of spinach rarely make palak chicken.

I have never used canned spinach, it is not very appetizing for me. I prefer fresh spinach or frozen one and the taste is much better.

Well , its pretty simple .. this is how you will do it :

Fry chopped onions until they are brown, add in half tsp ginger and half tsp garlic paste and bhoon for a minute .. then add in the chicken pieces and start frying them ... until the water fully dries out and the chicken browns a bit .. then add in salt , red chilli powder , haldi powder and bhoon for a quick minute , finally add in the canned spinach ... lower the heat and let it all cook in the pot with the lid on ..

Stir every 15 minutes ... when the water dries out fully from the spinach ... cook some more until you see some of the oil on top and its done ...

usually spinach takes no more then 30 minutes of cooking on low heat ... just make sure the chicken is fully done too ...

I always use fresh palak for chicken palak....canned one is better for eating with fish or mash.

Hareem I know but I have had canned spinach lying in my cabinet for ages and got chicken too. Hubby is not that fond of fish salan so just want to use it..

Canned spinach is an abomination -- give the can to the food bank and get frozen instead.
