Candle lit dinner ...

Do you find this whole concept , romantic? :hmmm:

I find it pretty uncomfortable .. firstly coz my eyes have to struggle to look at people and the surroundings in dim light
Secondly , I cant eat food that i cant see clearly …

so yeah for those two reasons , I find it a waste of romance really !
I much prefer a well lit , sophisticated place with beautiful cutlery and crockery and choice of food , well presented dishes and awesomely dressed people around :@:

What do you guys think?

Re: Candle lit dinner ...

I think candle-lit/dimly-lit dinners are for people who can't cook/burned the food/etc.

Re: Candle lit dinner ...

Either way I am happy.

There is a certain ambiance people are looking for when they go for that dimly lit/candlelight dinner. A comfortable, romantic and cozy evening with some good food and relaxing atmosphere.

When you go to a more well lit place...its a bit different surrounding but also nice.

As long as the food is good...I don't mind what the lighting is like!

I just like good food :o

Re: Candle lit dinner ...

Agreed, as l

Re: Candle lit dinner …

Yea, as long as the food is good and the company is as well, lighting doesn’t matter much. Even a roadside dhaba can be romantic if I’m with the right person

Re: Candle lit dinner ...

it's uncomfortable to eat food in bright lights!

Re: Candle lit dinner ...

I like it. Its looks so pretty and romantic. Food also taste better with nice ambiance.

Re: Candle lit dinner ...

I think they turn lighting down in restaurants because people get lazy and eat more.

Re: Candle lit dinner ...

would it be romantic to eat roti salan with candles on the table ... breathing masala on each other?

Re: Candle lit dinner ...

The candle-lit dinner setting....because it's all planned and carries more expectations and there's a greater feeling of self-consciousness.........seems a bit awkward and less romantic to me.

I like a setting that has more of a "natural" and spontaneous feel to it....where things are a bit more laidback and where there's greater freedom. I like the night sky better than the dimmed lights of a cande lit dinner. I find this sort of ambience more romantic...and of course it depends upon the company as well. I dunno, maybe I'm weird.

Re: Candle lit dinner ...

some of us are more bearable in dimly lit settings, if you know what i mean..
