Candle in My Window - for Tibet

Light the candle for Tibet, the Uighurs, and the people of Burma, peoples who are denied freedom of expression by the Chinese government. Light it too to support all people under oppression around the world, during the opening ceremony of the Olympic games.

Tibet has become a symbol of freedom. It is a symbol that represents the natural right of man for self determination, freedom of thought, conscience, belief and religion.

The Olympic Games in Beijing are a unique opportunity to focus the world’s attention on the annulment of those rights in Tibet and in many other places in the world.

Lighting a this candle represents solidarity with the people of Tibet. Each candle lit window is one more prayer of hope for the world to witness.

What about the Africans? Kashmiris? Russians?

Re: Candle in My Window - for Tibet

Cricketplaya: China does not want religion and that is why they crush the Uighurs (Muslims) and Tibetens (Buddhist). The Fulon Gong movement too is crushed because of their fear that this is a religion.

China is an opressive regime. Unfortunately. most Pakistanis cannot see this.

Re: Candle in My Window - for Tibet

Judging by the blatant absurdity of your biased response here, I am assuming you are indian.

Most indians are blind to the similar oppression faced by kashmiris.

Re: Candle in My Window - for Tibet

When the Pakistani trained, armed, funded, brainwashed Jihadi's started their ethenic cleansing by targeting Hindus & moderate Muslims - thats when the rest of India realised this is another cowardly Pakistani attack on India. All the HQs of these Killers (Jihadis) are based in Pakistan.

Remember the acid being thrown on Muslim girls not wearing burqha??!! Killings of muslim pro Indian parties, also the hundreds of thousands of Hindus rotting in refugee camps.

Alig - if you are so concerned with people fighting for independence - why do you not support the Tibetians, or if your motivation is to help the Muslims in the world - then why not help the Uighurs.?? Double faced as usual.
