Today i am attending a canadian desi wedding for the first time:yahoo:well attended alot in PAKISTAN ,but not here:bummer: so YUPPYYY!!!:shoaby:
i wonder how it will be like:hmmm: are amreeki,canadian desi weddings are just like PAKISTANI WEDDINGS??? like dresses,food,dulhan,dulha:confused: is everything starts on time???

6 years in aussie and today i had my first paki engagement party here.. i miss paki

yea they have to be punctual here caz usually the hotels/wedding halls are on strict time limit. They charge per minute or per half hr if take extra time.

welll, the weddings I’ve attended here were a lot more organised then the ones in pakistan… the guests were on time, the crowd wasnt all that 'hip", ppl werer decent, no throwing haddian here and there…
everyone was dressed decently, no chichora herkatain… there awas bit of bhangra, but that’s a part of our heritage, or atleast I think it is!
the tables were pre-assigned, you wallk in and someone will escort you to your table… .. no one was sending vibes to the ladies, even though it was mixed crowd… the food was gastronomical; dishes of various cuisines (chinese, oriental, western) to cater everyone…
no one was being very judgemental/pretentious of the bride/groom, everything was perfect… … it was amayzing…
ps… the chicks were :love:… lubly… very lubly…
