They need to open up some more better ones and enroll more students in, cuz everything i see is like full

thats is true...there is just too much competition ...specially in Toronto and lot of students don't make it to university/colleges becuz of that. I can't imagine what's happening after they got rid of grade 13.

Alot of students are going to uni of michigan from toronto since, thas the only uni where canadian students dont pay international fees.
hummm very interesting...Furqan are they allowed to stay in Michigan as well....or they have to cross the border from Windsor everyday?

are u coming as International Student? If yes then there is little different criteria and quota for them as compare to locals.

yeah I am...but still....does it have anything to do with the higher fees Intl. Stds pay?
I can't even imagine what your internation fees for UofT are like.....and if u got financial support then your one lucky person ;) .......I found out that Canadians applying for colleges and university in american pay as international student ...unless you goto Wayne state in Michigan.
^No...i didn't get any financial aid simply because I am an International Student and we don't get aid because we need to prove we have sufficient funds in the first place to study there..So screwed up!...
With the double-cohort coming up, particularly in Ontario, it is very hard for students coming straight out of highschool to get into any university! They are over-booked! You should consider taking a year off and then applying as a mature student later on. That's what a few kids I know are doing. :)

By the way, York University is pretty good. I used to think it was the worst university on the planet cause of the large desi population .... hehe ... and I would never be caught dead there ..... but that's where I am now! I went to Waterloo and now York. York is much better! :)
I agree with Mehnaz.....i used to hear all sort of stuff about York...but the moment i put my foot in there, i knew i wanna stay.

I am guessing the extreme cold, lack of a desi population, the nerdy people (mostly engineering types), lack of a city life within two hours :)
how much of a temperature difference you think there is between TO and KW? there WAS a lack of desi population. now all you see here are FOBs and they are quite annoying to be frank.
Lastly, if it weren't for Waterloo engineers then Canada would not even have electricty. Heck Amreeka wouldn't have drinking water if it weren't for our boys.
