with my passports I can go anywhere without any hassle. I don’t even need a Visa going into China.
I do think it would benefit the OP more if she had two passports and if you have such national pride then why not go back to Pakistan? Because let me tell you once you go in its hard to get out

You can leave Canada for an indefinite time period, that is if you move back to Pakistan, without worrying about your immigration status back in Canada.
Working in the Middle East, you might get paid better for the same job if you're a Canadian citizen. Not sure about his one, cause a friend told me about this, but doesn't sound unbelievable.
And you can always renounce your Canadian citizenship, as long as you have a citizenship to fall back to(Pakistani). So it's not permanent.

OP- Just because you're gonna get Canadian citizenship dosen't mean you're going to be any less Pakistani. I actually can't believe you need this explained to you. Seems like you've been in Canada a while. Also if you are so bent on this I'm pretty sure you can have your name removed from the citizenship process and the rest of your family gets it not you. If you are so keen on that I'm sure they can do that much for you. There are many in Pakistan who would do alot for this oppurtunity.

and I agree a lot of Pakistanis/Mexicans/Russians etc etc go through so much hassle just to get a green card/citizenship.
You should be grateful that you have a chance to get more freedom to where you can go.

I guess, OP isn't thinking about coming back to Pakistan. His/Her only concern is being called a Canadian-Pakistani while he/she is still in Canada.

Now you there. OP. You can maintain both passports. You have a passport you are a Pakistani. You don't have one you aren't one. Getting a Canadian passport is not like you are giving up on being Pakistani. You can still say you are a Pakistani when people ask. Just hold the passport. Don't consider it anything else.
