well as i didnt attented any college here ,this is going to be my first one so how can i submit my degrees???

Hi Kishmish,

I’d definitely check first with Registrar’s office at Seneca cuz you might not need to get your degrees evaluated afterall. That’s one of the main reasons why admission at community colleges is somewhat easier for foreign trained professionals.

Now… Coming to you Q about HRM , I’m assuming that your ultimate aim is to obtain the CHRP designation - right? Seneca’s program counts towards the credits required for CHRP from what I remember… my wife did her HRM post-grad dip from Sheridan and is currently preparing for CHRP while working.

Before embarking on this track, remember though that it is extremely difficult to break into an HR related role there days. I say this from my experience in HR at a large multinational and after helping my wife through her job seeking process.

If you’re still open in terms or what types of educational programs you can assess before making your decision, I’d certainly advise to look into HR process management using ERP systems. There’s still great demand for HR professionals who have ERP skillset to go alongside their formal business education.

Re: Canadian Guppies help me out!!

Kishmish.. I used to go to Seneca for 3 years and now i transferred to Ryerson.. A personal advice would be kay go to university instead of College.. Getting a job with a uni Degree is much easier.. You can either Apply at York or Ryerson.. both have Certificates for HR or diploma... Worst case if you still wanna go to Seneca then go there for a semester and then transfer to a university...
Now about transcript.... You can simply request a transcript from pakistan's institute that you attended and send it to Seneca.. It will be accepted....

Hope tat helps...

P.S Please don't come to Canada as an international student (unless if you can afford $12000 per year not including the other costs of living)....

Re: Canadian Guppies help me out!!

I thought you finished ur uni Atto ?

Should have spent less time at Wonderland all the time !! ;-)

Hi all

I know this is slightly off topic, but as you guys understand the Canadian system better, how would you rate or evaluate Brock University in St Catherines for Sciences?

Thanks

It's a pretty decent University overall... I suppose at bottom of tier-2 University in terms of teaching and somewhere in tier-3 in terms of research. It's not in the same league as the heayweights like U of T, McGill, Queen's, UBC... or more specialized tier-2 Universities like UWO, McMaster, Ottawa etc.
