Yeah, thats what i was referring to. The Mulroney governement left Canada in shambles and the Liberals did great in digging the country out of deficit. But you can’t keep on giving them credit for what they did in the past. Right now, Conservatives are a far better choice. The Liberals think that Canadians are stupid or something and since most of us like to think of ourselves as being on the left side of the specturm, we would vote for them no matter what. Just watch their campaign ads…full of anti Harper BS. Look at Paul Martin’s “plan” to solve Toronto’s gun problems…ban hand guns. Yeah, that sure is going to deter criminals from committing crime with thier hand guns 
You said that you prefer Liberals because they are lesser of the two evils. Well, in my opinion, the conservatives are the far, far lesser evils right now. If the Liberals do win the election, which they won’t, than look for more of the same.

You mentioned three times conservatives are the better choice but not once did you give any evidence to back your claim. What is it about the conservatives that has you convinced. Or do you feel anybody but the liberals should get your vote?
Watch immigration laws and new immigrants get a kick in the butt once Harper gets in power. I was watching Harper on TV today. A person asked him what are his views on abortion. His answer was **"Its not my problem and i dont want to get into it, plain and simple!" **Not my problem? Is this how he is going to solve the 100s of other problems plaguing canada? By running away from them? Not the kind of PM i'd want running my country.
Watch as Healthcare gets privatized and then watch how each of your and your family's visits to the doctor cost $75 each just for showing up. Watch how much taxes grow as Canada starts spending uselessly buying into USA's missle defence plan. Watch the world start to hate Canada just like it hates USA right now as Harper pulls Canada out of the Kyoto Agreement and starts following USA's footsteps like a little puppy.
And yes banning handguns is definitely a step in the right direction to reduce crime. Because contrary to what you might have learnt from DMX or 50 Cent, it really is guns that kill people.

Are you really that naive? If you honestly believe that taking away guns from people who legally own guns is going to reduce crime in Canada than you don't know what you're talking about. Thats just side stepping the real issue here. And whats this stuff with DMX or 50 cent?
I don't like the Conservatives. Plain and simple. But voting for the Liberals is just as good as taking away your voting rights. They are a bunch of corrupt, power hungry ploticians who need to leave the office now. They are a mess. What good did the Gomery Commision do if by the end of the day, we should all pretend that it never happened and vote for the Liberals regardless?
The conservatives will spend on military and its a good thing. The Liberals have done nothing to improve the Canadian military over their entire term and something needs to be done. Eventhough i do fear that Harper will spend too much at some point but i believe it is time to put that money back into municipalities and provinces. Our education and healthcare are both under-funded right now.
I'm not expecting a huge turn that would turn steer Canada into the fastlane of economic growth and such but neither am i expecting a huge turn that would ruin the entire country. We all know that both parties are full with BS but the diffrence maker is the fact that the Liberals are a mess and are proven to be corrupt. If that doesn't justify a change of government than i don't know what does.

Last time conservatives came, it took them less than 365 days to kill the CDN economy. Thanks to Conservatives, our CDN Dollar is below US.
The so called 5% GST (2% cut), is going to hurt low income candians and benefit only the rich and corporations. To make it worse, the Conservatives in order to Balance the books, are going to cut Tax Returns (once again hurting low income families, and benefiting the rich and corporations.

Whereas Liberals (although corrupted, then again which Gov't isn't corrupted), rejected the Invasion of Iraq whereas pro-bush and neo-conservatives wanted to participate in the invasion.

Anyone voting for conservatives are getting themselves doomed. The conservative dude is a mighty buddy of that dang thing called "Bush!" U'll be seeing Canadian's participating in roasting more of Muslims out there in the world along with bush. But ayh I guess thats just mighty fine, cuz it is after all the ends of times, where we as a race are suppose to cease to exist anyway.

1) Because the Liberals are corrupt to the bone... please remember the :
Sponsership scandal (gagliano), Art Eggelton giving his GF a defence contract and the rest I cannot even remember cause there were so many of them!
The Liberals will Convert Canada into Pakistan (a country you all left)! no one wants to live in a corrupt country (it does not prosper)... Ps. Its really hard to rid oneself of corruption once it takes root (its like a weed)
2) Because Canadians cannot do anything about Iraq! its not like you will be seeing the draft anytime soon. Canada does need to cozy up to the US a little (you got to give a little to get a little) so kids lets be smart!
3) As far as immigrant rights are concerned... well there is nothing the government can do! Its the people that need to assimilate and its the locals that need to accept the immigrants for who they are! Govts cant do that... ask france or england!

Even though I am born in Canada, I always said that I'd move if Canada was Conservative, and looks like its time to leave this country.
