Canadian Citizens Flying to America

Do you need a valid passport to fly to the States or will a birth certificate suffice? What if it’s a baptismal birth certificate? I’ve been told that Quebec issued birth certificates are no longer valid which is why I’m wondering if a baptismal birth certificate will do.

Does anybody have any information on this?

Canadian Citizens may travel between the U.S. and Canada with the following documents:

Canadian passport
Canadian government-issued birth certificate with government- issued photo ID
Canadian Certificate of Naturalization, Canadian Certificate of Citizenship (laminated card) or Canadian driver's license only when traveling from the U.S. to Canada on return portion of roundtrip ticket.
Canadian Landed Immigrants (Resident Aliens) having common nationality status of Canada may travel between the U.S. and Canada without a U.S. visa
Other nationalities not specified must have a national passport valid for six months beyond entry as well as a valid U.S. visa, unless a resident of a visa waiver pilot program country.

Where did you get that from?

I guess he got it from here.

(Google Zindabad :D)
