As a Canadian of long standing, I am tired of Canadian soldiers getting killed in Afghanistan. They are getting ambushed even when they go holding peace talks with Afghan elders. In fact there is a strong suspicion that these elders invite our soldiers for friendly parlays and then arrange an ambush. While we are at it, Canadian government should also withdraw the offer of $100 million in aid they promised. Just get our soldiers back from where they ar not wanted and let Karzai solve his own problems.

No Canada should stay in Afghanistan.
Canada is a part of NATO. That means if a member state is attacked by a foreign enemy, it is an attack on all members.
I am a Canadian and it pains me to see Canadian soldiers dying.
But Canada cannot enjoy the benefits of NATO while not contributing to the fight.
Canada needs to duke it out and stay in Afghanistan.
The situation in Afghanistan is not going to change.
Its going to become another Columbia where major areas are under Taliban control and they are financing their armies with drug money much like the FARC and AUC militant groups in Columbia.
The only thing NATO should aim for is the destruction of Al Qaeda cells and the build up of Afghan Forces so they can conduct the fight themselves and strenghtening the Pakistan Army with Gunships, Bradley fighting vehicles and other items to secure its borders....
