Canada is World's Friendliest Country!

Quote:
Canada is the most welcoming; almost 95% of respondents to HSBC Bank International’s Expat Exploreer Survey, released today, said they have made friends with locals. In Germany, 92% were so lucky and in Australia 91% befriended those living there. The United Arab Emirates was found to be the most difficult for expats; only 54% of those surveyed said they’d made friends with locals.

It’s no wonder they likely find Canada so welcoming. It has an accessible language, diverse culture and low levels of government corruption, says Patricia Linderman, editor of Tales from a Small Planet, an online newsletter for expats.

Re: Canada is World's Friendliest Country!

just came back from Manhattan,NY and city wise it should be way at the bottom for being rude people. Maybe other parts of US are not like that. Also, Rome, Italy should be at the bottom for tourists :D
UK is definitely most polite and courteous.

Re: Canada is World’s Friendliest Country!

I was about to agree with it, but when counting who else is in the list, I stopped at Fifth and I laughed :rotfl: and the whole credibility of the report went down the drain.

Re: Canada is World's Friendliest Country!

Ireland is also unique in the political rights it grants to noncitizens, which include voting, joining the police force, and running for local office.

Although a few incidents of racial harassment have been reported, the backlash has been minimal, and Ireland doesn’t have the far-right nationalist parties that are common throughout the rest of Europe.
