Hello people, I have been having this strange dream…….I am stranded alone on an island and there is really no one there. The island seems to be deserted and I am looking to escape from there. I have no one to consult there and suddenly I feel as if someone is coming from a distance…and there you go…the dream ends right away.
Is it necessary to make sense of random electric pulses in your brain?
But, sometimes current events or current feelings you are harboring translate into dreams. May be you are having a tough time handling aspects of your life and you feel like others aren't helping you much, thus the feeling of being deserted. And since you hope for someone to "rescue" you, that showed up as the ambiguous figure in the distance.
I believe its ur innermost feeling as if you r confused about something and u feel alone and u want someone to help u out...which i guess is gonna happen soon...if u saw water it means good news :)

Its not wise to share your dreams with ppl you dont know .. actually you should only share your dreams with anybody esp giving them the liberty to interpret them ...
If its really bothering you and you want someone interpreting it .. then see your local imaam for aadvice, he should be able to giude to a person who is capable of interpreting them properly.
sounds like you are insecure about something and confused, and you need guidance for that. This is what i can figure out of it. Do not take it personal anyway. I hope its only a dream
I will suggest to contact a scholar who is knowledgeable enough to do that for you...
Not only it is not advisable to share your dreams in public but it is also recommmended not to seek for interpretation from those who can't interpret any dream....
Aq maybe he only wants some sharing and different opinions. Afterall there is no one a kid here to know there are no certified dream interpreters here. He must thank you for your gracious advice anyway.

mirage, my reasoning is based on some of the tafaaseer of surah Yousuf...
an incident is mentioned where a person in jail makes up a dream and tells Yousuf (AS) to test him... the dream interpretation was that the person will get capital punishment... although the dream was made up .. he did get a capital punishment... Since there is nothing in Quran that is not a guidace, early scholars have concluded what I had responded...
There are scholars though who suggest not to share bad dreams but share good ones... Wallah-O-Alam!

**AQ Bhai where does it say that the dream was made up?.....when two prisoners came to Yusuf (ES):
**12:36 NOW two young men happened to go to prison at the same time as Joseph. [35] One of them said: "Behold, I saw myself [in a dream] pressing wine." And the other said: "Behold, I saw myself [in a dream] carrying bread on my head, and birds were eating thereof." [And both entreated Joseph:] "Let us know the real meaning of this! Verily, we see that thou art one of those who know well [how to interpret dreams]. [36]
12:41 "[And now,] O my companions in imprisonment, * as for one of you two, he will [again] give his lord [the King] wine to drink; but as for the other, he will be crucified, and birds will eat off his head. [But whatever be your future,] the matter on which you have asked me to enlighten you has been decided [by God]."

What I remember and correct me if I am wrong, the tafseer (Ibn-e-Katheer) makes a reference to a hadeeth regarding this ayah... Wallah-O-Alam!
