Multidimensional interactions via the internet never come close to meeting the person in real life. The answer to the OP is a firm no.

We all put up walls, whether it is face to face or over the internet. I would like to think some of the folks I have had favorable interactions with are genuinely nice. I have no reason to believe otherwise.

being nice or being a good fellow is a different thing. When i asnwered No to this post, my point was that you can only know as much as the other person wants to share with you on internet. No face expressions, no eye contact and no body langugage makes it very difficult to know a lot about the other person.
