this is one of Ghalib’s most famous she’r which is widely punctuated INCORRECTLY! one may ask why worry about punctuation in the first place. i would say it’s very important because if the she’r is incorrectly punctuated [or NOT punctuated at all] gives a different meaning of the she’r altogether which was absolutely NOT intended by Ghalib.
the she’r is [of course without the punctuation because that’s what you are requested to do]
