Roxx, I was put on Accutane for the first six months of last year. I did read that one must not use any topical Vitamin A treatments or go for any peeling products/techniques at least after 6 months of being off the Accutane and I think I should be OK now, yeah?
If your Derm has given you the all clear, then I guess it should be fine.
Also, wanted to ask you guys about the SPF. Which sunscreen do you use? I just bought Cliniderm SPF 45 skin lotion. It gives me this strange pinkish tint for some reason. Used Shiseido but it left me looking like a pale ghost.
I have sensitive skin so I use sunscreens that contain physical UV blockers (namely: Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide) such as Blue Lizard brand sunblock; sunscreen with physical UV blockers doesn't irritate skin the way sunscreen containing chemical UV-blockers does, but it can also cause breakouts for folks who are prone to them. Also, the titanium dioxide and zinc oxide (even when "micronized") tend to leave a white, ashy cast on the skin.
Chemical UV-blocker based sunscreens don't usually have the above problems, but can often be far more irritating to the skin than the physical-blocker variety.
