I wanted to agree with your comment, but then I realised that Punjabi literature is not there, but the language is flourishing

that’s what is wrong with Pakistani Punjabi…Indian Punjabi has a vast and rich Khazaana of literature. it’s because Pakistanis did NOT adopt Gurmukhi script…they got stuck with Urdu…same is true with Gujrati.
