Much has been said that if a nuke war breaks out between India and Pakistan, we will not be able to take a nuke hit from India as it will destroy all of Pakistan. So that got me thinking that is there any way that Pakistan can just deliver one debilitating blow to India that would knock out all of India’s response infrastructure?
I am aware that India is a huge country and we prolly can’t do this unless we have missiles in all of india’s neighboring countries. But is there any other way?

Yes. Sleep a little bit more and remain in bed for the next 3 years.
I wonder why my fellow Pakistanis (and Bharatis neighbors) living the life of luxury in UK aloo stores have a fetish of destroying the land of their forefathers.

waving flags, and mutilating Iqbal's verse doesn't help when you spout jingoism leading to the destruction of "Hindustan" (that Iqbal actually talked about and thought as the best in the whole world.) The moment Pakistan uses nukes; radiation-laden particles will shower back on Pakistan with monsoon. You may say that nukes can be used in non-monsoon seasons, but the Cesium remains active for 2000 years. It will take many years to recover from the radiations and other devastation resulting form the nukes.
If Bharat nukes Pakistan, radiated stuff will be carried back to Bharat. The result will be the death and destruction of untold proportions. Off course you wouldn't care as your business of selling aloos (potatoes) in UK ghettos will go on.
Neither Pakistan nor India currently have enough warheads to completely finish each other off. Certainly all major population centres in Pakistan and most in India can be taken out already. Hence no war in 2001 - 2002.
However we have not yet arrived at the MAD situation, which means the peace is precariously balanced. As the eminent George Fernanded noted, and to be alot more generous than his estimate, Pakistan currently probably only has enough nukes to kill about 150 million Indians at most. Leaving over 80% of India's population alive. George Fernandes, i believe, estimated Indian dead in a full nuclear exchange to number merely 12 million.
Even if India were to kill just 75 million Pakistanis, that would still be over 50% of the population and it would be considerably harder for Pakistan to rebuild than India.
In short, in just about any nuclear exchange today, India would come off a lot better than Pakistan would. It would have more of its population resources left to rebuild with.
Also, being larger, it would have less contaminated territory for short-term rebuilding.
Morale: Never ever have a nuclear war between India and Pakistan. Nobody would win; but Pakistan would lose more.

MS, i dont think it is ever gonna happen. india and pakistan can fight small wars but not the big one like this.
India and pakistan both understand the consequences of of a war, and especially nuclear will be a big disaster.
BTW, continueing your post, there is lot dependent on second strike ability. The country who wants to use the nukes first would want to finish other country to an extent that they cannot use their own nukes , so the first country in ideal case use most/all of its inventory. But if the attacked country is still able to strike back then it is gonna decide the fate of the war.
I guess India being strategically deeper than Pakistan by virtue of its size has an upper hand.
But in either case both the countries loose. so we better use nuclear tech in lightning our houses.
agree with atlantis...what kind of response do think u will recieve when u post a stupid thread like this....and irem u got it wrong there....was there a real threat of indo-pak conflict 2 months ago? I don't think so :D
:) I am an Indian and certainly dont relish the possibility of nukes in my backyard.. or even Pakistan for that matter... But isnt the option of having a Nuke is to restrain the other from ever using it?
