Re: Can we eat hindus food?
Good lord, we have a lot of Muslims and Hindus who respect each other and far from these garbage. Ordinary folks, who respect others way of life. And yes I am lucky to have such good friends.

Re: Can we eat hindus food?
I am happy in my world. This is the last post. Gosh.. I even wished I was not here to read this.
Re: Can we eat hindus food?
heres one example of a slick bottled urine product packaged for consumption along with the benefits of including it in your diet:
Search- "Camel Urine in Arab Medicine" very interesting.
By the same token, i wont be surprised if muslims sprinkle camel's urine in their biryani...afterall if mohammad instructed them to drink it...so be it!!
Re: Can we eat hindus food?
first off I dont want to be involved in a urine debate, as I said, the reasons could either be hygiene or it could be to form a sense of seperateness and identity. they could be completely different from either of these two too, so lets not get in a huff.
and hey if i suspect anyones putting camel urine in my food im not eating that either.
it is not a question of digging into esoteric religious beliefs, but whether or not certain beliefs are prevalent in practice. i suspect the incidence of camel urine used in food is much less, since there isnt to my knowledge mass production and bottling of camel urine. perhaps you can cite a source. i on the other hand can give you multiple stores/outlets that sell cow urine specifically for consumption. the presence of such stores validates the idea that cow urine is in fact consumed in real life, whereas merely a hadis in a book doesnt automatically mean that it is actually in practice at a significant scale.

[quote=RoCKiSTaN]
Islam is a religon of common sense. Common sense tells me eating food from a non muslim is fine. Why would Allah make such a rule? Come on guys, wake up and smell the folgers.
Why wouldn't he? Well so it's not as hard as it allready is to help some one convert to Islam. The last thing you would want to say to them is, "Hey! I can't eat that, it's FOOD!" Meat makes sense but other then that you can eat everything with them. God bless the blessed./quote\
Thank Allah some of us use common sense
Re: Can we eat hindus food?
absolutely true.
I had lived in bhopal almost 20 years and have numerous muslim friends but never even seen anyone talking like this before. one day those buggers tied me up (my parents were out of station) and ate evrything which was there in kitchen. every week i used to eat at their home.
i never felt any difference between my hindu and muslim friends.
discussion on such a topic is crap.i am out of it:grumpy:

its not just meat, it could be the base for soups, it could be what it is fried in e.g. lard. No one is saying someone would do it out of malicious intent, but its just that they dont know.
if anyone has ever eaten at chipotle for example, they should know that the pinto beans are prepared with bacon, although u cant really see it. I ask questions before eating. some staunch vegetaians did not know that ceaser salad dressing has anchovies in it...etc etc.
its not about thinkign soemone is beneath you or you cant trust someone. Its simply a matter of you may consider something
I remember a group of friends that used to go out in philly, ramong others it had a ppl with dietary needs ranging from a strict vegetarian girl, to a zabeeha only muslim, to a no shell fish jew, myself (no pork) a hindu (no beef) .. we used to laugh because we were such a pain in the rear for restaurants, each one had different questions..what is the stock made of, is it fully vegetarian, whats in the sauce..
but we sat and ate together and there were no issues, that is what understanding is about, and respect. Respecting each other and their beliefs. Not ridiculing them because they are observant of their beleifs and careful about what they eat. I nevr took it personally when I had ppl over for pt lucks and they would ask what was this made in etc etc, and sometimes even excusing themselves from eating something because of some stock etc that was used.

Re: Can we eat hindus food?
I love Hindu food. Grow up people.
Re: Can we eat hindus food?
I have lived in Europe. Vegetarian food exported by Pakistanis or bangladeshis carries a halal symbol. What has aloo parantha to do with halala. Extremely slow peeling of potatoes and slow kneading of dough :)
Re: Can we eat hindus food?
frying in lard can kinda make it unpalatable for many ![]()
btw if u boil the potatoes first, the skin ust slides off, no slow peeling needed.
