The majority respect his designation as a scholar; he is what he is no matter what you feel for his views.
This is a sickness that plagues us...respect the post, even if you don't respect the man...it's pure folly... on the one hand we laud scholars, and yet the second a person holds diverging views (no matter how slight) we dismiss them in an anti-intellectual fit as a joker...
