It has happened many times that when I looked at somebody, I felt as if I am related to that person. This is a really weired feeling. Following is one of the example.
While I was going to school, I worked for time as a security guard. One day I was sent to a new location and I was sitting at my desk in the lobby, a woman entered in the building, I felt a vibe if I had some connection with her. It was a weired feeling and it didn’t have anything to do with lust or physical attraction. It was the connection between two people. Interestingly, at lunch time the lady stopped at my desk and said, “why do I feel as if we are related”? I responded that relationships don’t necessarily require a blood bond, marriages or love. She chatted a bit and left.

If I may add a few things before sister Dushwari ... To answer you first question the answer is 'yes- probably' there is apparently only six or seven degrees of difference required before you potentially know everyone on the Earth. Know is loosely ascribed to at least meeting a person, just like you met that woman.
Adding to the idea that similar race of people in amongst a race of different people will attract attention to each other regardless of gender.
Adding to this the idea that ... in Islam we believe in Qareen which are like companion Jinn who go around with each of us all the time, mostly engaged in whispering to us bad ideas. I heard in a talk that some of them will run ahead of the human companion and run into the companion Jinn of other people, there they will tell each other about each others companion and then run back, whispering all they heard into the ear of the person. Then when the people finally meet they think as if they have met before of feel they know each other. This is desgined to bring together a man and a woman who are not mahram, i.e. it is a sharrarat.
Another possibility could be that it could have been a result of seeing a premonition dream that you have forgotten but when you saw the woman you recognised her from when you both met in the dream state.

That's very interesting and valueable information.
Usually the word 'shararat' is taken in a 'no harm' context but this kind of shararat can turn a healthy, welathy, wise human into a dead body or make him lose his emotional health, eventually physical health so that he becomes weaker and easy to be over come by those 'shararti creatures'
May I please get the source for this?
Also, do you have any idea what 'Sajeels' or 'Sijeels' are? Are these also some jinns like qareens? If not, what are they, good or bad?
Edit: Also do you know what Islam says muslims can do to protect themselves against such creatures? (Other than regular prayers ofcourse)

We all human beings do have connections with each other cause creator created us all and filled our heart with each others love.
I also feel relation and love to all human being no matter male or female. I cry for unknown ppl if they are in trouble and I become happy if someone is happy.
All human beings have all these feeling but they don't feel it clearly or they may have squeeze under selfishness.
Its a natural thing to have feeling for any human being or creation of Allah.
WE are related to eacha other as we started from Hawwa and Adam. That is a connection too.
I also love strangers too same as i love my mom, dad, brother and sis. Most of the time my this habbit give me lots of problem.
