It was such frustration for the nation when they did the following experiment..I wish theyd stick to some originality figure out their own priorities and start thinking of Progress as a word that is a VERB…Forget making clocks go forward or backwards..as long as one works HARD in the time one is supposed to…It is nations that work hard and think of work as a step closer to progress that actually progress. Will someone please explain to me why we cannot be original and try and stick to our own roots??we have a rich heritage and a richer culture..untapped..unknown..and we have our Quaid who kept trying to get this registered that hard work not cliches.not fads and certainly not experiments will get us somewhere if anywhere at all…
news in todays paper reads as follows:
Clocks to be reverted to original position between Oct 5-6
(Updated at 1930 PST)
KARACHI: Clocks all over Pakistan shall revert to original position on the mid-night between the first Saturday and Sunday of October 2002 falling on 5th and 6th October 2002, sources officially learnt on Friday
I am quite unable to fathom the relationship of your post with the news item. Pakistan government decided to move to Daylight Savings Time this year, and as is customary, is now moving back to Standard time in October. What has that got to do with Quaid-e-Azam's vision?
Maybe if you can be so kind enough to better explain why you feel the experiment of DST is harmful to our nation, or may be a commentary as to why DST is not a very good method of managing time... other members will be in a better position to link up your thoughts on this matter.
^^^ I personally ( and please see it as that) feel that DST works for nations that know hard work and the importance of it....and so my chain of thoughts...in Pakistan people are averse to the verb work in government offices and all else...DST has not helped at all...atleast that is my "personal" impression aftre speaking to the multitudes...all I am asking for is for the people of Pakistan to first understand what progress entails and the hardwork that goes into it and then try experimenting with clocks...DST has worked for countries where they are ready to work their butt off...dont you agree...:)
