I asked for a raani haar to be made and I don’t like the pendant bit (it’s just a round circle with a gem in the middle). I think it has been rushed by the person who made it.
I wanted something more intricate like the second picture (this was the shape I sent them to copy). Can the metal be cut to give it a nicer shape or do I have to have it all re-made?

It probably needs to be remade, I think, but it's best to show both to an experienced jeweller and ask them. And yes, the person who made the ooriginal either had no idea how to or ccompletely slacked off. It's kind of awful :(

The gold cannot be cut to change the shape. And even if they did do that, it simply cannot be finished to look elegant through this process.
You would be better off to have it melted down and re-made, which I would never advise because they never give you the true value of it.
How about selling it and having a completely new one made?

This doesn't seem much like the second one. I don't think that can be altered into that one, though it isn't that bad if not compared. I would also suggest selling it and getting it made again.
