Can these elections be called fair?

I am very much in doubt. Forcing by Punjabi Taliban also known as TTP has terrorized three parties, PPP, ANP and MQM. Their killings of innocent people in Sindh and KP forcing these parties not to participate in the elections process. It is rather unfortunate CJ who is champion of suo motas against past government for patty netters and so called independent ECP are silent on this very curious issue. By not providing the level field to these parties what is a big deal if N$ or IK wins the elections, shutting down the major contenders. Are they be morally justified to form the government under these circumstances never in the history of democracy had faced such ugliness. The corrupt N$, $$ and rightly according to AP, the dirtiest politician have not uttered a single word of condemnation.

Bilawal not to return to Pakistan for elections | DAWN.COM

KARACHI: The Chief of the Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto would not be present in Pakistan on Election Day. He has already left the country and would not be addressing any party rallies or meetings due to security threats to his life, his party sources told Dawn.com on Friday.

Central party leader Taj Haider also confirmed that consensus had been reached in the party and that, in the wake of serious threats to Bilawal’s life, the party has advised him not to lead the election campaign in person.

“We have already lost Benazir Bhutto and will not risk losing Bilawal. The threats to his life are very real,” he said.

Haider would not say where the party chief was at the moment. However, sources in the party said that he had left Pakistan earlier this week and would not be returning to the country before May 11, the Election Day.

The young scion of the influential Bhutto family and son of President Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal said in a video message released April 23 that he would assist in the party’s election campaign but not lead it.

“I wanted to contest polls living amongst you; I wanted to launch the election campaign in the streets of my country alongside my workers…but we are at war against (a) mindset,” Bilawal told party workers in the video marking the launch of the PPP’s election campaign.

“The murderers of Quaid-e-Awam and Benazir Bhutto Shaheed now want to eliminate us as well.”

Party leaders had earlier said the PPP chief would lead the campaign through a video link because of threats to his life.

Pakistan has witnessed a surge in violence targeted at election campaigns and rallies in the run-up to the May 11 polls.

On Friday, Taliban gunmen shot dead an ANP candidate in Karachi for NA-254 seat, Sadiq Zaman Khattak, along with his three-year-old son.

The outlawed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militant group has announced it would target the PPP, Awami National Party (ANP) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) due to their secular views.

re: Can these elections be called fair?

They are not fair, Anp, PPP and MQM should boycott the polls.

re: Can these elections be called fair?

Request to Moderator: Please add ? to the heading, which I forgot. Thanks.

re: Can these elections be called fair?

That is what Punjabi Taliban wants. That will be quite unfair and unjust.

re: Can these elections be called fair?

as you have already mentioned the three parties are not being allowed to run their campaign (even in punjab) so it makes sense in boycotting the elections than to participate in a sham affair.

Re: Can these elections be called fair?

Punjabi taleban are stopping PPP from launching their campaign even in Punjab. In my constituency I have finally seen two posters of a PPP candidate. How unfair?? :( this calls for a boycott.

Re: Can these elections be called fair?

What has Imran got to do with these bombings? He has already condemned the attacks. He is not in any position of authority right now. Blame the care-taker authorities and the law enforcement agencies for failing to protect the workers of affected parties

Re: Can these elections be called fair?

Can any of the electins we had so far called fair?

Re: Can these elections be called fair?

The fact of the matter is that Sindh is peaceful except karachi and every one knows what ever happened there in the past five years, punjab is peaceful, Pashtun areas of balochistan are peaceful and many areas of KPK are peaceful. Who is stopping people's party from campaigning there? The party which is getting the brunt is Anp, people's party has been the least affected. Trying to get some sympathy votes which they won't get.

Re: Can these elections be called fair?

Under any circumstances these parties should not boycott the polls. Let people of the whole world see how pakis are ugly and unjust.

Re: Can these elections be called fair?

He is not the boss . Just sold his soul , Ohh I am sorry , soul is already sold to Jews . He is just cheating everyone including Taliban .
He is begging for his own life , How can he stop them .

Re: Can these elections be called fair?

Read the news item at #1. Why Bilawal, now the chairman of PPP has to run out of the country to save his life?

Re: Can these elections be called fair?

Maybe he doesn't want to help Zardari get a second stint (on sympathy votes).

Re: Can these elections be called fair?

In another thread I have mentioned this link but you guys ran away without responding to my post. What he said is that these terrorists should wait till he comes to power, if not they should carry out bombings and continued to kill innocent people of Sindh and KP. Do you have any regret or shame what your retard leader is talking about?

Re: Can these elections be called fair?

Question asked: Can these elctions be called Fair and Free?

I have my doubts too, because all of the administration (civil, police, security), EC, caretaker govt., governors etc. belong to PPP and their allies. And pre poll rigging is in full swing.

So yes, you are right to ask the question, and everyone is quite doubtfull.

Re: Can these elections be called fair?

That is your subjective speculation, you have no proof for what you are saying. TTP has openly thretend PPP and its leaders. What these monsters have done in past, Bilawal has every right to save his life. These low lives, supported by your leader, indicate how much he is the dirtiest, stupid politician Pakistan has?

Re: Can these elections be called fair?

If the three parties are spared till elections, it would help them participate in the elections freely. If imran khan comes to power as a result of the elections it would be his responsibility to protect the lives of the people of the country after assuming power.

Re: Can these elections be called fair?

What about 5 years of Notanki League in taliban and PPP bed? No words for them as they might need permission to crawl in bed again?

Re: Can these elections be called fair?

As usual a nirala stupid response. Governors of Sindh and KP do not belong to PPP. Caretaker government has full approval of your dirtiest leaders. Punjab was ruled by N$ and $$. ECP has also been accepted by your retard dirtiest leaders. Kyani has promised to supervise these elections, why are you howling here against PPP?

Re: Can these elections be called fair?

PPP government had controlled these killers, now these dogs are Scott free, supported by your retard dirtiest leaders.
