can the geniuses here help?

hi i have a problem with a pipe which has a pin point leakage. its a fairly thin pipe. can putting nail polish on it block the leakage.
i wasnt sure where to post this
thanks

Re: can the geniuses here help?

is that a rubber pipe? PVC, Brass?

what is it attached to?

Re: can the geniuses here help?

i think its rubber or pvc. wats the difference? its attached to a dental unit.

Re: can the geniuses here help?

If its attached to a dental unit, its a high pressured pipe (whether air or water). You might be able to use the nail polish as a sealant, but you may need to wrap some plumber's tape around it too.

Re: can the geniuses here help?

plumber’s tape . its a water pipe and it is high pressured. and thanks TLK.
would a scotch tape over the nail polish help?

Re: can the geniuses here help?

Scotch tape is not going to work. Duct tape might be a better option, but even for that to work, hole has to be completely sealed. No leaking.

is this plumbers tape?

Re: can the geniuses here help?

Wonder if crazy glue instead of nail polish would be better sealant. Then wrap with duct gasped.

Plumbers tape I thought was for threaded connections.

Re: can the geniuses here help?

Nail polish and duct tape was a fail :( wat is crazy glue?
