دل فسردہ تو ہوا دیکھ کر اسکو لیکن
عمر بھر کون جواں کون حسیں رہتا ہے

Apparently he or she ran into their old love and their heart got sad
But then again no one stays young and beautiful forever
Here’s the translation for you in plain and simple way to understand what it says:

Did that loser send you that? "Farsooda" God knows what. But the rest somewhat explained in the picture.
shaair is shair main apnay mehboob ki jawani k din yaad kar raha hai. khaas tor pr jab wo dono juda hoye. aaj arsay baad shaair ko us ka mahboob nazar aagya. jis ko dekh kr shair kafi pareshan hoa. us ko wo jawani k din yaad aagaye jab wo us ki khubsurti ki tareef kartay nahi thakta tha. aur aaj jab us ko dekha to pareshan ho gya. mager phir us ko duniya ki us haqeeqat ka ahsas hoa k kon hamesha jawan rahta hai
Sadly physical appearance was everything for some poets. I always wondered how majority poets only focused on external beauty zulfain, ankhein, husn -o-jamal bla bla but no one was bothered to talk about internal beauty much.
Urdu poetry in its golden age was mostly about old deprived pervs with a talent for words describing either the physical attributes of some imaginary mehbooba in ridiculously grandiose and often disturbingly obscene description or whining at the way their so-called mehbooba treated them extremely cruelly and heartlessly often going to such extents as if they were literally murdered by her through her ignorance!
Glad Urdu got poets like Faiz, Muneer, Amjad and Wasi in its later times.
@SID_NY haha, look your dirty word filter is not so smart! better to remove that particular slang word from the filter as usual culprits abusing this word are no longer active
well she was raped and then Hollywood turned its back on her…
take my breath awayyyyyy.
hmm, naah. those rape incidents happened long before her movie career took off with Top Gun. She is just another typical Hollywood story of fame, fortune, celebrity status and pressure of high life leading to depression and addictions of all kinds. Or maybe years of rug munching took a toll on her LOL
Or may be all the alcoholism, drugs and depression was a product of living a double life trying to hide her true sexuality from the world, as she once said she thought she was being punished by God for being gay.
It is not true…This lady has not aged yet…

Guys...please stay on topic.
Also my interpretation of the poem was that even though he sees his mehboobah older and 'less beautiful', he realises that is just life. that life goes on and everything changes (i.e beauty fades too). But that was just my interpretation - this is why I love poetry, anyone can take it however they want.
