Can someone please explain whether stomach noises break one's wudu?

**The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) explained to us the guidelines concerning stopping praying in the case asked about here. It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘If any one of you feels something in his stomach, and he is not sure whether anything came out of him or not, let him not leave the mosque unless he hears a sound or detects an odour.’” (Narrated by Muslim, 362)

It was narrated that ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Zayd said: “The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was told about a man who imagined that he felt something whilst he was praying. He said, ‘Let him not stop [praying] unless he hears a sound or detects an odour.’” (Agreed upon).**

I failed to comprehend it. Stomach noises can occur for the following reasons in my opinion: stomach noise in food digestion (one can feel something), noise when one is really hungry (stomach growls), or any other reason, etc. My question is that does one’s wudu break only if stomach noise related to wind passing or any stomach noise (food digestion, stomach growling, etc.)?

Answers with evidence will be appreciated. Jazakallah Khair in advance.

Totally depends upon the kind of noise. Can you upload the audio of it, before once can pass judgement.

its the sound of fart.

so its broken if u fart if u dont then its not.

Re: Can someone please explain whether stomach noises break one's wudu?

Probably a mis-translation .... Read Al-Bukhari, Book 4, Hadith 139 and compare ... The phrase used is passing wind ... Not feel something in the stomach ...

Peace Islamicstudent,

Both Hadiths deliever clear and immaculate message that one should not leave his/her prayers unless he hears sound or smells something. Not that sound which imagined. Sometime another person can also hear the sound of stomach but it doesn't mean that person leave his/her prayers and re-do ablution. The sound actually means one who passed the wind.
