Can someone confirm this hadith?

I got this in some chain e-mail. Can someone confirm if this is a real hadith? I’ve searched for it on some sites and couldn’t find it…

Re: Can someone confirm this hadith?

Please stick to the topic. If you don't have anything relevant and meaningful to add to the thread, then please refrain from posting.

phatima1, interesting hadith. I don't recall coming across it in the past. Perhaps someone else can verify its authenticity. Also, much of the chain email material must be approached with caution.

Re: Can someone confirm this hadith?

I've heard something similar before.

I think its near-wording. It refers to most likely the part where the revealing of the skin/body shape was prohibited, and then linked with the punishment for such act.

Re: Can someone confirm this hadith?

Assalamualikum,
I have never heard about the time of punishment but women neither men are allowed to wear clothes that reveal figure or attracts opposite sex or similar to opposite sex or similar to unbelievers and neither should be transparent.

(17) Narrated Ibn 'Umar: A person asked Allah's Apostle, "What should a Muhrim wear?" He replied, "He should not wear shirts, trousers, a burnus (a hooded cloak), or clothes which are stained with saffron or Wars (a kind of perfume). Whoever does not find a sandal to wear can wear Khuffs, but these should be cut short so as not to cover the ankles. (Book #8, Hadith #362).Bukhari********

(3) AbU Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) having said this: Two are the types of the denizens of Hell whom I did not see: people having flogs like the tails of the ox with them and they would be beating people, and the women who would be dressed but appear to be naked, who would be inclined (to evil) and make their husbands incline towards it. Their heads would be like the humps of the bukht camel inclined to one side. They will not enter paradise and they would not smell its odour whereas its odour would be smelt from such and such distance. (Book #024, Hadith #5310) Muslim

(The second one) the women who would be naked in spite of their being dressed, who are seduced (to wrong paths) and seduce others with their hair high like humps. These women would not get into Paradise and they would not perceive the odour of Paradise, although its frag- rance can be perceived from such and such distance (from great distance). (Book #040](40. Re: Can someone confirm this hadith?

^ Thankyou.

PCG if you read Sahih Al-Bukhari, you'll learn that Abu Huraira (R) has reported the most hadith. Second was Hazrat Aisha, I believe.

Bashful - Thankyou. That pretty much says it all. :)
