Re: Can Shia Brothers explain this term Nasibi?
Nasibi is a term that is used by Shias (and other Muslims?) for people that hate Hazrat Ali (ra). Now it is used to describe the Salafi sect, who actually think that Shias are kafir and persecute them.
Re: Can Shia Brothers explain this term Nasibi?
Nawasib were/are those people who hate sayyidna Ali openly in the past and nowadays they dont openly say that ( as that goes against the beliefs of ahle sunnah) but subtly try to bring down his high status and glorify and justify the actions of those people who hated and fought/cursed sayyidna Ali in his life.
Classic example is Mahmood Ahmed Abbasi who wrote book "khilafat hazrat muawiyah wa yazid"
most of the imams of ahle sunnah esp abu hanifa, shafai, nasai, ibn hanbal displayed their adoration for ali b abitalib openly and discreetly during their times and paid a heavy price for it at the hands of nawasib.Plus their predecessors many of the sahaba/tabaeen also suffered the same fate.So nawasibs have nothing to do with ahle sunnah they are just as deviants and heretical as some of the extreme rafidhas
Those who hate 12ers cannot accurately be called nawasib, hating Ali or his supporters and hating 12ers are two VERY different things.Only very ignorant 12ers wud call all sunnis as nawasib , most 12ers esp the educated ones learn how to diffrentiate between them.
Re: Can Shia Brothers explain this term Nasibi?
Nasibi = mention the name specially of Ali Ibn Talib (as) and watch the color of the face change.
Sahi Muslim
Book 001, Number 0141:
Zirr reported: 'Ali observed: By Him Who split up the seed and created something living, the Apostle (may peace and blessings be upon him) gave me a promise that no one but a believer would love me, and none but a hypocrite would nurse grudge against me.
The Ahlel Bayt refers to the family of the Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وآله وسلّم). The Sahabah refers to the friends of the Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وآله وسلّم). The Shia claim to love the Ahlel Bayt only, and hate the Sahabah. The Nasibis, on the other hand, love the Sahabah but hate the Ahlel Bayt. Both groups are incorrect in their views. The correct position is to love both the Ahlel Bayt (Prophet’s family) and the Sahabah (Prophet’s friends).
Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan said:
The way of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa’ah is to love the family (ahl al-bayt) of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). The Naasibis love the Sahaabah but hate the family of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), hence they were called Naasibis because they set themselves up (nasb) as enemies of the family of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). The Raafidis [the Shia] are the opposite: they love the Prophet’s family (ahl al-bayt) – or so they claim, but they hate the Sahaabah, whom they curse, denounce as kaafirs and criticize.
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah said, explaining the ‘aqeedah of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa’ah: They (i.e., the Sunnis) love the people of the household of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him); they regard them with love and loyalty, and they heed the command of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) concerning them… but they reject the way of the Raafidis [the Shia] who hate the Sahaabah and slander them, and they reject the way of the Naasibis who insult Ahl al-Bayt in words and deed… Al-‘Aqeedah al-Waasitiyyah, Majmoo’ al-Fataawa, 3/154.
Undoubtedly rebelling and hating the Ahl al-Bayt and other Sahaabah is a serious kind of bid’ah (innovation) that implies slandering this religion which was transmitted to us via the Sahaabah, the Ahl al-Bayt and others.
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah said: “With regard to Ahl al-Sunnah, they regard as friends all the believers. When they speak it is on the basis of knowledge and fairness, unlike those who are ignorant or follow their whims and desires; they reject the way of both the Raafidis [the Shia] and the Naasibis and they hold all of the early generations in high esteem, and they recognize status and virtue of the Sahaabah and respect the rights of Ahl al-Bayt as prescribed by Allaah…”Among the books which speak of the Naasibis and refute them and their ideas, and discussed those who went to the other extreme, namely the Raafidis [the Shia], is Manhaaj al-Sunnah by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah.
You can refer to this book or some of its abridged editions. ”
Logically, this is the only position that makes sense (i.e. to love both the Prophet’s family and friends). It would obviously anger the Prophet if we insulted his family or his friends, and this goes for any human being alive. Which of us today would accept that a person would attack our family or our friends? Even the least of us would defend our family and friends.
We hope that, here, we have proven beyond a doubt that the Prophet’s wives are indeed part of Ahlel Bayt. The Quran specifically refers to the wives of the Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وآله وسلّم) as Ahlel Bayt in the following verse:
“O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other of the women; If you will be on your guard, then be not soft in your speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease yearn; and speak a good word. And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, you Ahlel Bayt (People of the House), and to make you pure and spotless.” (Quran, 33:32-33)
The transliteration reads: “Ya nisa al-nabiyi lastuna kahadin mina alnisa-i ini itaqaytuna fala takhdaAAna bialqawli fayatmaAAa allathee fee qalbihi maradun waqulna qawlan maAAroofan Waqarna fee buyootikunna wala tabarrajna tabarruja aljahiliyyati al-oola waaqimna alssalata waateena alzzakata waatiAAna Allaha warasoolahu innama yureedu Allahu liyuthhiba AAankumu alrrijsa** Ahlul Bayt**-i wayutahhirakum tatheeran” (Quran, 33:32-33)
Thus we hope that it has become clear that whoever slanders the Prophet’s wives and talks ill of them can be considered a Nasibi (hater of the Ahlel Bayt). The most beloved of the Prophet’s wives was Aisha (رضّى الله عنها). However, it, unfortunately, appears that a very important premise of Shi’ism is based upon slander against her, the Mother of the Believers and rightful member of the Ahlel Bayt.
Aisha (رضّى الله عنها) narrated a Hadith in which the Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وآله وسلّم) specifically appointed Abu Bakr (رضّى الله عنه) to lead the prayers as Imam during the Prophet’s sickness at the end of his life. The Sahabah (رضّى الله عنهم) and the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah rightfully interpreted this appointment to mean that the Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وآله وسلّم) appointed Abu Bakr (رضّى الله عنه) as his successor, not Ali (رضّى الله عنه). The majority of the Shia admit that Abu Bakr (رضّى الله عنه) was the Imam of the prayers during the Prophet’s last few days of life; however, they argue that the Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وآله وسلّم) had really appointed Ali (رضّى الله عنه) to lead the prayers, but that Aisha (رضّى الله عنها) lied to the people by claiming that the Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وآله وسلّم) had appointed Abu Bakr (رضّى الله عنه) to lead the prayers. Recently, there have been some Shia who have even gone to the extreme of denying known historical events by saying that Abu Bakr (رضّى الله عنه) never led the prayers as Imam; they again accuse Aisha (رضّى الله عنها) of being a liar, and say that the Hadith about Abu Bakr (رضّى الله عنه) leading the prayers were fabricated by Aisha (رضّى الله عنها).
Al-Tijani is a very popular Shia scholar and writer who recently published his best-selling book “Then I was Guided.” In this book, he says: “…either by his [Abu Bakr’s] daughter Aisha, whose position vis-a-vis Ali is well documented, and she tried hard to support her father, even by fabricating sayings [Hadith].” (Then I was Guided, p.141) Al-Tijani futher says: “…she [Aisha] played an important role in the denial of the Prophet’s will for Ali…” (Then I was Guided, p.119-120) This book can be found referenced on the popular Shia website Al-Islam.org, and it is at the forefront of the Shia dialogue with the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah; this viewpoint that Aisha (رضّى الله عنها) fabricated Hadith to prove her father’s claim to Caliphate is accepted by *Ijma *(consensus) of all the Shia Ayatollahs and Maraje’ (high scholars).
Based on this, it is our understanding that the Shia opposition to Aisha (رضّى الله عنها) cannot be understated. It is the foundation block of Shi’ism that Aisha (رضّى الله عنها) is a liar and a fabricator of Hadith. Without believing in this, the Shia would be forced to accept Abu Bakr’s (رضّى الله عنه) appointment as successor Imam and the entire belief of Ali (رضّى الله عنه) being the first Infallible Imam becomes implausible. Thus, the Shia are faced with two options: either they slander Aisha (رضّى الله عنها) and call her a liar, or they accept Aisha (رضّى الله عنها) and then rescind their claims that it was Ali (رضّى الله عنه) who was appointed as successor Imam by the Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وآله وسلّم).
The Shia claim to be the “followers of the Ahlel Bayt,” but the reality is apparently otherwise; had they followed the Ahlel Bayt (i.e. the Prophet’s wives), then they would have accepted Abu Bakr (رضّى الله عنه) as the successor Imam to the Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وآله وسلّم) and the Muslim Ummah would have remained united. The truth of the matter is that it is the Shia who are the Nasibis, because they hate the Prophet’s wives. The Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah loves the entire Ahlel Bayt, including the Prophet’s wives, all his children, Ali (رضّى الله عنه) and his family, etc., whereas the Shia only love one segment of the Ahlel Bayt and despise other parts of it.
It is your assumption that Allah is continuing to address the same in all the verses here. Quran is not organized as per the order of revelation.
In the first verse is a warning to the wives of the prophet (SAW).
In the second there is a happy news. I have quoted references multiple times that the verse 33:33 as even narrated by Ummul momineen Aisha herself includes only the Prophet, Ali, Fatima, Hassan and Hussain.
please let us be clear, Aisha was never the most loved wife of the Prophet (SAW), read Sahih Bukhari and other Sahihs, there are enough quotes from Aisha herself how jealous she felt from a wife that was long gone. Bibi Khadija. She was the most loved wife of the Prophet (SAW) and the only one with the honour to continue the lineage of the Prophet and give him offspring. Besides she was the only exclusive wife of the Prophet (SAW) and he never took a second wife while being married to her.
please confirm that Aisha did not violate the injuction of 33:32. She did not stay quiet and instigated people on the murder of Uthman and then violated another injuction and left the house to instigate a war against Ali.
Before you launch a tirade against me and shias, feel free to refute me on either of these two points.
i can refute the claim but suffice to say this was never raised as a reason for claiming khilafat by Abu Bakr.

this is not my assumption that is allah's order, for your information quran is organized as per ayah but not as per the order of sura. it is also confirm about your belief of tareef-e-quran since this quran was also accepted by hz. ali ra and their offspring. no one claim publically that this is not real quran even 11 remaining so called imams.
also i am waiting since long show me where quran use word "ahlul bait" other than wives/masculain.
and about hadith of kisa which narrated by not only favourite wife of prophet pbuh there are three more wives of prophet pbuh narrates such hadith, which also not excluded mothers of ummah in ahlul bait.

again you are misguiding ummah, since such instruction was answer of mothers of ummah's demand they ra demand better lifestyle, so, do not merged with their duties for demand of justice against murderer of hz. usman ra being of mother of ummah ra she have right to do.

again disbeleving on truth, could you please tell me who stop hz. ali ra to say about so called imamate, why he ra was afraid to tell truth in between ummah, since they have authority from allah and prophet pbuh why he ra did not claim their right when he ra was in power.
There you go with your lying and misquoting.

i firmly believe in tareef-e-quran. There is no other book worthy of praise like Quran.
I am not talking tahreef, mind you. Tahreef means alteration/tampering of quran. I am a firm believer that the Quran contains all the verses as revealed to Mohammad (PBUH).
Do not hurl such false accusations on me, O nasibi.

*Sahih Muslim: Book 031, Number 5955: * 'A'isha reported that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) went out one norning wearing a striped cloak of the black camel's hair that there came Hasan b. 'Ali. He wrapped hitn under it, then came Husain and he wrapped him under it along with the other one (Hasan). Then came Fatima and he took her under it, then came 'Ali and he also took him under it and then said: Allah only desires to take away any uncleanliness from you, O people of the household, and purify you (thorough purifying)
This should make my point clear.

Sahih Bukhari*: Volume 5, Book 58, Number 164: * Narrated
'Aisha: I did not feel jealous of any of the wives of the Prophet as much as I did of Khadija (although) she died before he married me, for I often heard him mentioning her, and Allah had told him to give her the good tidings that she would have a palace of Qasab (i.e. pipes of precious stones and pearls in Paradise), and whenever he slaughtered a sheep, he would send her women-friends a good share of it.
*Sahih Bukhari: Volume 5, Book 58, Number 166: * Narrated 'Aisha:
I did not feel jealous of any of the wives of the Prophet as much as I did of Khadija though I did not see her, but the Prophet used to mention her very often, and when ever he slaughtered a sheep, he would cut its parts and send them to the women friends of Khadija. When I sometimes said to him, "(You treat Khadija in such a way) as if there is no woman on earth except Khadija," he would say, "Khadija was such-and-such, and from her I had children."
Here you go this should be enough proof of what i am saying.

Why are you avoiding the real question I raised and digressing.
if Abu Bakr leading the prayer was the foundation of Abu Bakr's khilafat and Prophet's(PBUH) nod to the same then why wasnt this used as the basis for his claim?

One question DR…isn’t the Arabic word “Nasb” used for “lineage” meaning decendants…Nasibi would be one who accepts the Prophet’s (PBUH) lineage? or is it the opposite meaning?
Thanks Pagluu Ji…question still remains un answered… Nasb…Nasibi…should mean one who accepts the lineage of Rasul Allah (PBUH)
Thank You Alijan Ji for very elaborate explaination and the history behind the different beliefs…
What puzzelled me was use of the word “Nasibi” which means lineage…to denote one who hates the decendants of Rasul Allah (PBUH)
Thanks righteos Ji…for explaining furthur the Shia beliefs.
I have learned more about the differences between Shia and Sunni beliefs from Gupshup than any other source…:k:
Thanks All…however…Nasibi and hater does not make sense…
until some one explains it?
Coming straight to the topic of the thread. To define Nasibi / Nasb or Nawasib, let me quote Sunni books:
Ibn Manzur states in In Lisan al Arab, page 762:
والنَّواصِبُ قومٌ يَتَدَيَّنُونَ ببِغْضَةِ عليّ عليه السلام
*"Nawasib are those who embrace the hate of Ali [as] as part of their faith"
*
Taj al Uroos, Volume 4 page 277:
Nawasib: "Are those who hate the commander of believers and the leader of Muslims Abu al-Hassan Ali bin Abi Talib [ra]".
Imam Jalaluddin Suyuti states in Tadrib al-Rawi, Volume 1 page 328:
بالنصب وهو بغض علي رضي الله عنه وتقديم غيره
"Nasb is hating Ali [ra] preferring the others"
[It is believed that the current versions of this book has been tempered with while in othe older version, the definition was: 'preferring Muawiyah']
We read the following in the margin of Imam Dhahabi's famed book Siyar Alam al-Nubala Volume 4 page 37 by Shaykh Shu'aib al-Arnaout:
من الناصبية وهم المنافقون المتدينون ببغضة علي رضي الله عنه ، سموا بذلك لأنهم نصبوا له وعادوه
"From Nasibiyah, there comes Nasibi and they are hypocrites, they have made the hate of Ali as their religion. This name was given to them because they have made the hate of Ali as their aim of life (Nasbu) and had enmity for him"
These were some basic definitions of Nasibi. If we go further then we will see that all those who rejected the caliphate of Ali bin Abi Talib [as] and faught him, were considered Nasibi:
Imam Ibn Hajar Asqalani in Fathul Bari, Volume 13 page 537:
"Described the Nawasib as the followers of Muawiya in the battle of Sifeen"
Imam Dhahabi likewise records in his esteemed work 'Siyar alam an-Nubla' Volume 5 page 374:
"Nawasib: Those who fought against Ali in Sifeen and acknowledged Ali as Muslim"
Ibn Kathir also stated that Nawasib were those who rejected the caliphate of Ali [as] and hence fought him [as]:
"This hadith clearly rejects Rawafid who are the rejecters of the caliphate of the three caliphs and this also rejects the Nawasib who are from Bani Umayah and those who followed them from Syria in rejecting the caliphate of Ali bin Abi Talib"
Al Bidayah wal Nihayah, Volume 6 page 222
first of all shia have to prove that we ahlul sunna/ahlul hadith did not love hz. ali ra, where did we mentioned that we hate hz. ali ra (nauzubillah).
95% of muslim are sunnies who did not belief that hz. ali ra was imam and there is any belief of imamte in islam, so it means that we have nasabi, and what shia are how hate sahabies, mothers of ummah and most he did not beliefs on quran and they have tons of fabricated beliefs funniest of such beleifs that a 4 years old boy still alive and have musuf of fatima, al-jafar etc which were many times bigger that our (muslims) quran.

You are the ultimate definition of nasibi.
Not a single source will confirm that 95% of all muslims are sunnis. This number is quite exaggerated.
The most defining trait of a nasibi is prefering Mawuyia over Ali, or saying Mawuiya was a good man.
Secondly Nasibis are hypocrites and liars.
You think a 4 year old boy being still alive is funny, then explain a grown man still alive after 2000 years and will be returning to the people of this world at some even later day, or the same boy as a new born telling people who he was when people badgered his(AS) mother, bibi marium, or his mother having an immaculate conception - without a biological father. You know where you will find some of these really funny stories, in a book we believe in Quran, but nasibies like you can read it but never understand it.
PS. A lot of your people have written books bigger then the Quran sharif, Sahih Bukhari is one example. If you believe in Sahih Bukhari does that negate your faith in Quran?
Re: Can Shia Brothers explain this term Nasibi?
Imam Ja'far ibn Muhammad as-Sadiq (AS) has said: "A Nasib is not one who bears enmity to us the Ahl al-Bayt, since you will never find a person who says that I hate Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. Rather, a Nasib is a person who is openly hostile to you since he knows that you follow us (the Ahl al-Bayt) and (since he knows) that you are of our Shi`a."
Thawaab al-Amaal by Shaykh Saduq
and family of muhammad pbuh includes wives (mothers of ummah) who hate mothers of ummah ra are truly nasabi, and one of shai sect called khariji are also nasabi.
Re: Can Shia Brothers explain this term Nasibi?
