Parents always say they love their kids equally…
but is it really possible? Don’t parents have liking, preference for certain kids more than the other? [for whatever reasons]

Re: Can parents be 'really' impartial when it comes to treating their kids?
In my case is easy. My sis says my parents love me more and i tell her they love her more. We both get away with stuff the other can not get away with.
Re: Can parents be 'really' impartial when it comes to treating their kids?
Parents love their kids equally although they might be "attached" to one kid more than another.
Re: Can parents be 'really' impartial when it comes to treating their kids?
I've never faced any impartiality in my house. But then again I am the oldest, so there must be stuff that I got away with that my younger siblings couldn't.
Re: Can parents be 'really' impartial when it comes to treating their kids?
My mum supports my brother blindly, even my dad tells her it's ridiculous.. My dad does tell me if and when I'm wrong and it doesn't bother me whilst my brother tends to not be able to handle any criticism (even constructive) because of the way my mum has treated him. When other relatives tell her to have a word with him when he's really stepped out of line she'll refuse to do it. I know she's my mother but it's crazy and embarrassing that a grown woman can't act in an objective way.
Re: Can parents be 'really' impartial when it comes to treating their kids?
yeah always.i think they are always experimenting.
Re: Can parents be 'really' impartial when it comes to treating their kids?
Yes and no. Depends on the family. In my family parents have always kept the same rules/expectations/piyar etc for everyone regardless of whether you're the oldest or the youngest. But with my youngest sibling he did sometimes get away with breaking some rules not because he's necessarily loved/spoilt more but simply because parents assumed the rules worked for the older ones so he will be fine too.
But I think there are individual aspects/traits of each child, which the parents appreciate more. Like one may be more responsible whereas the other might be more soft-spoken etc.

yup it does happen.
Re: Can parents be 'really' impartial when it comes to treating their kids?
I think I will be impartial as much as possible and let Kismet decide who holds my home when I pass from this place to the beyond.

Yes.

I think you are right. Parents cannot be partial in love of their children, but the attachment varies sometimes.
Re: Can parents be 'really' impartial when it comes to treating their kids?
parents can be totaly impartial and some are not.. in my experience, my parents have favoured my brothers and sisters over me..... and thats one thing i wont forget.
they say the same rules apply to us all but when they go against the rule, parents have said that we have majboori etc and that why we let it happen... but i dont understand why dont they have a mjboori when it comes to me...
parents are parents... thankgod im out of there and with my husband... believe it or not i have been more happy after marriage than in my parents house due to their impartiality
Re: Can parents be 'really' impartial when it comes to treating their kids?
Parents have different relationships with each kid because each kid has a different personality but they do love their kids equally nonetheless. They want the best for ALL of them.
Re: Can parents be 'really' impartial when it comes to treating their kids?
Equal love and treating equally are two different things. Like my older one is a tad darpok. She does not like to go to her room alone when its dark so I go with her. Younger one is one fire ball and runs around the whole house and if needed, goes to her room without asking for an escort so we dont offer our support.
Re: Can parents be 'really' impartial when it comes to treating their kids?
equality and equity are different concepts. Equity is much more important, be is gender, children or race.
