i don't get why indian hindus like the OP are telling indian muslims to go to pakistan, i mean it's not like indian muslims are immigrants to india. most were reverts to islam, so they are totally and completely indian going back to their ancestors from god knows when just like indian hindus.
even a lot of the movie stars if you look at their family history, shah rukh khan and aamir khan, not sure but SRK's father was an independence activist during prepartition times and aamir khan's ancestor was freedom fighter, hindu-muslim unity activist maulana abul azad(how cool is that!!!!)

Gora Ji I knew lots of British subjects who were Muslims and fought for England in WWll, and even won the Victoria Cross!

Similarly, what if the United States government began to question the loyalty of Indian Hindus because of their Indian origin?
Send them back if you see a sari even if they're American citizens...how would you feel then?

but u see, the reason why i ask this is simple.
That Indian Muslims support Pakistan say if it were against Australia or any other country besides India ( or when India is not in the picture) is fine. But when Indian Muslims support Pakistan when its directly against India, on the only basis of Pakistanis are Muslims is a very worrying thought. Yes, i as an INDIAN and not a Hindu worry about that? Tomorrow if we go to war , I want to be a 100% sure. If the underlying thought is that India can burn to hell, we are muslims , we have Pakistan.
Its like Islam asks you only to be on dimensional.
Only muslims go to heaven
Any one marrying a muslim must convert, if not their kids wont go to heaven ( from life1)
Your god is the only god etc etc
A kid that i was babysitting once asked me if i was Muslim and i replied no, he said to me "oh that means you wont go to heaven ????
In Pakistan look at what happens to the minorities. Should India start treating its minorities the same way we would a double fold increase in terrorist attacks because we are hurting their muslim brother. You dont see India interfering and saying why are Hindus treated so badly in Pakistan , let go bomb it.
A sufi shrine was just attacked because it was un-islamic ??? Is nothing else allowed to flourish ????

Oh please. Who attacked the Golden Temple in 1984? Thousands of Sikhs were killed. Who where the people that demolished the Babri masjid? And what about the christians hun?

Religious minorities in Pakistan face persecution, yes. I won’t deny it. But when you point your finger at someone, three fingers are pointing back at you.

In sentiment I am agreed with Faris Udeen ... but in action not really. There is a reason for this ... Firstly I believe the thread title is wrong ... The idea of loyalty is applicable to those who have taken part in establishing the entity to whom loyalty is needed. For example it is quite possible to be loyal to a country and not loyal to the regime allegedly in charge of the affairs of that country.
Also, it is a different thing being an active loyal to be a passive loyal. Now my benchmark is taken through the level of justice we find from Shari'ah.
In the Shari'ah non-Muslims are "protected" and they DO NOT form part of the army. It is because their values conflict with the regime, but the regime has promised to protect them in return for a jizya.
So I would say that I do not need to fight alongside my countrymen (UK), but I do have to pay taxes in order to voice an opinion and to be living here in peace and protection. If I am a supporter and helped establish the UK regime then I would have to be able to say that I am loyal to it. I am loyal to my community.
The correct question to ask is "Can India be loyal to all of its subjects/citizens equally given the current regime that is in power?"
It is only possible for a people to praise their country when it (i.e. the regime) fulfils their rights.

I dont think you know enough about Indian history...it seems as if you read an article, got upset and just came here to vent about it.
As psyah stated before...the question is more about whether India has the ability to treat its minorities with dignity/fairness as well?

I won't deny that, we do believe our religion is the only true religion and anyone who doesn't subscribe to it will in all likelihood end up in hell. What Islam doesn't tell us is that you can't be loyal to the country you live in. You're going on about a whole different issue here.

Its amazing that people think that indian Muslims should not fight Pakistani forces (one of my family member thinks like that) as Pakistanis are Muslims, but its for for Pakistani forces to fight Talibans. Somehow the standrad of Muslims fighting with Muslims is different when it comes to our east border vs our west border

some indian news media sources jump to conclusions or are a bit biased. i remember when times of india has posted an article about how kashmiri muslims stormed a temple in the kashmir valley a year back and started attacking the temple and had destroyed most of the temple...........
that is what is called false reporting and propaganda just to raise communal tensions in Indian states. the actual story that i got from residents of the valley that were (kashmiri)sikh,hindu and muslim was that the residents had stormed the temple to attack the crpf officers that had done some corrupt actions a few days before and it was reactionary on the part of the residents there, they did not destroy the temple or vandalize it. but times of india can be soooooo irresponsible by falsely reporting such stories just so extremist groups can have their fun
most of the time these things are done to wake up the center to certain incidences that have been overlooked in the valley or to piss them off.

All the Indian Muslims I know which is a good amount are very loyal and patriotic Indians. Nobody should question their loyalty to their country. I got tortured at University when Pakistan lost to them. Bad times. Lol.
