On discovering different threads on this forum I discovered, that this area is amongsat the most rarely used ones. Just posting this information here. Might not be new to many of you.
IBM, Sony and Toshiba have combined some years back to deliver the Cell PC architecture. This can simply be callled a supercomputer on a chip. It have multiple microprocessors fabricated on a single chip. Itcan run multiple OS simultaneously and it can almost match or even beat some old Super computers on performance. This chip will also be used in next-generation game consoles including Play Station 3. This technology may not challenge Intel at the moment, but it is sure that it will change the way chips will be designed and fabricated. I am following this technology and related news for more than a year, and I strongly believe that Intel will very soon deliver chips based on this technology too. Even some months back most engineers thought it will just remain a dream, and such processors, even if developed will not behave normally and it can never be available. But it is available now.
Here is a brief introduction for this technology, though much has kept as secret by now.

Well it is technology that matters for us so encourage yourself to get more information on this technology to be amused before you actually use it..
