One way or the other , the message is quite clear ..most of the times it so happens that you ultimately fall in love .. and later on a heart-break to follow.
We expect differently from opposite gender…except for in few exceptional cases where the carnal connotations are put aside for the sake of friendship (or say interest somewhere else)
