I’m in UK. My MIL bought me an atta machine from Pakistan and the plug has obviously got 2 pins. Now I’ve been using it with a shaver adapter which says should only be used for shavers but has been working fine with the atta machine until last week. The fuse blew so I had a couple of spare adapters which i’ve been using but they’ve both blown as well now. What type of adapter would we need for this. I’d appreciate any advice. Thanks.
Re: Can anyone help?
Atta machine with shaver adapters ???
Could you list the input and output volt as well as the frequency of your adapter and what is the requirement of your atta machine.
I have a feeling that you need voltage stabilizer tp use with the machine
Re: Can anyone help?
go to Maplins or currys and buy a universal travel adapter.
Re: Can anyone help?
^ the man knows what he is talking about.
Tabbasum, you should have bought teh right adapter to start with. be glad it dinn burn your house down
Re: Can anyone help?
Silly goons, her fuses are blowing for a reason. The solution aint a adapter. She needs a converter.
Get this thingdelivered for £3. Plug your atta machine into the converter. Then plug the converter into your UK adapter. Then plug your UK adapter into the wall. Start pounding away. Just make sure you tell mama how much you like the menage a trois.
HAHA! I made a funny!
Re: Can anyone help?
but pak and Uk are both on 220

I dont care who's on who. Yuck.
Her fuse is blowing up because of a power issue. The atta mixer is pushing out too much power and needs to be tamed. Poor shaver adapter cant handle it.

Now dont get YOUR aata into the PAK UK electrical Politics.
she is using less voltage adapter. The shaver adapter she was using is also compatible for UK voltage. Only the problem is Excess voltage than adpater can pick.
First see what voltage aata machine needs.
Re: Can anyone help?
SO all of you genius people, no one read my comment when I said that she needs a voltage stablizer ... along with the adapter
Re: Can anyone help?
we just ignore you usually
Re: Can anyone help?
Well I think she is using a non fused plug-in + non fused shaver adapter. With <10 A compatibility and as far as I know amperes can vary from 3A-16A (~250V!!) in Pak.
