My question, if God can’t do it, could Allah do it?
Could we gather up a couple million Muslims to ask Allah to do what God can not?
Imagine how wonderful that would be if Allah could succeed where the Christian God failed. It would prove that those jihadis really are justified when the kill Christians.
First I was opting not to post a reply but I just cannot help it.
Allah=God has already done it… lizards grow back their tails and some frogs even grow back their limbs even if they are chopped off. His signs are for those who reflect.
According to some studies, all vertebrates may have the capability of regeneration. It is upto us to tap into this capability, since God may have already given it to us.
He invites people through their logic and understanding, not through magic tricks.
As for “if Allah could succeed where the Christian God failed”, please refer to “وينذر الذين قالوا اتخذ الله ولدا”: "And to warn those who said: ‘God has taken a son.’ " (18:4)
There is only one God first and foremost. Whether Christians call upon Him or Muslims it is He who listens to all.
The answer is most definitely ... yes ... Allah (SWT) can heal amputees of course He can.
Is Allah (SWT) going to do it for your entertainment? That Allah Knows Best, can't really say what Allah (SWT) has in store. Be careful you may one day see something so profound that it will make you declare faith in it.
In fact Allah (SWT) cures amputees all the time. My second cousin had a third of his finger removed by a water pump when he was 1 years old. The tip of his finger grew back in about three weeks.
As for people who lose a finger or such, physicians (by Allah (SWT)'s permission) have managed to sew them back on, so things like that are not impossible.
What is outside your wisdom is that God Knows Best about His affairs, perhaps an amputee would have caused evil with his hand had he not had it removed? By asking for it to be replaced are may be unwittingly making a request for a big mistake to happen, and so on.
There is also a law of nature that Allah (SWT) has established the removal of limbs tend to be within that law - Qadr ... i.e. that they do not normally just come back. In a few years we may even develop the technology to grow limbs in a lab and attach them on to amputees, this will only be done by the Will of Allah (SWT). So that will answer your question. Should it happen ... problem is you will attribute it to man and Muslims will attribute that to God.
Also the number of people is of no importance. Rounding up Muslims to ask Allah (SWT) something is a futile activity because it does not duty bound Him to do anything ... Allah (SWT) chooses when and how to listen to a request (du'a) by His people.
The argument is about the power of prayer not about the power of God/Allah.
The argument is about the effort: Can we decode the secret... Prayer by itself is nothing (according to His Laws)
If man can do brain surgery and heart transplants .... and are able to restore sight via modern laser technology ... this is all through the God gifted 'mind' of a human understanding ... then think to your self how much power Allah swt has...

An event when the Prophet SAW wentto Taa'ef to preach Islam, but Astagh fi Rullah the inhabbitants of The town got their children to Stone the Prophet SAW, and Prohet SAW left ...and Allah SWT sent Angel Gibraa'eel AS... asking the Prohet if he wishes he Can ... turn this town upside down and put it out of existance... but the Prophet prayed ....and said someone will come from this town who will up hold the flag of Islam one day InshaaAllah.
Well the Moral of this even is that ...Allah is Able to do anything he wishes .. and Look who became commander in Cheif of the Muslim Army... Khalib bin Waleed... well he was from Taa'ef. here Allah Could have destroed the town through the Angel and Khalid Bin Waleed wouldnt have existed.
And another even where A war was about to take between muslims and non muslims … and Hazrat Ali RS wasn’t present..and the prophet SAW requested for him and the companions told that He was I ll and his eyes are unable to open due to the pain and infection of his eyes… so the Prophet SAW requested that he be brought here. He was brought infront of the Prophet SAW and the Prophet SAW put his Lawaab (spit) mubaarak in his eyes and they cured … (Hazrat Ali Ra later on in life reported that from that day onwards my eyes never got infected again and were never in pain and nor did I sufferfrom weak eye sight) …. From this even what it shows is the ability of his Prophet SAW … BUT the cure was from Allah and the prophet SAW was a waseela … so if you think if the prophet is able to do this much … then what would it be like if Allah wanted to heal the amputees …. Without any waseela ….?????
