Is it possible to get a wedding jora 1.5 months before a wedding planned in early december 09?
I will be arriving in Karachi in mid October and need to put together my joras (50 odd) by the time of the wedding, Including my shaddi and Valima dress.
Does anyone know of any places where i can get this on time?
I have heard that there are a few ladies in defence with really good taste who put together a brides barri which includes around 5 heavy heavy dresses, 10 formal dresses, 10 ‘‘shaam key jora’’ all with karhai and kaam etc, for around 50K RS.
Does anyone know where i can get hold of such God Send ladies?
Or is there anyone else who may do this for me?

if u have money, you have your bari done like in a day. until you are not going with customized ones.
well i dont get this customization deal cuz no matter what bride is the focal point of the ceremony, and since usually in our culture its safe to wear warm bright dresses so what is there to worry about?
ps. the more demanding/picky you are, the harder the shopping will get…since mid October is pretty warm there + no light (in bazars) + machers + no car parking + loads of beggars
so make a list what exactly you need.

Yes i have started my list and know wha to ge from where, but im very very picky about what i wear, but i guess we'll be buying most of the dresses from boutiques which will save us both time and effort.

yes why not u can get it even in onc month.one of my couisn got her jora in just 20 days.i guess the desighner made all her karigars to finish this jora only
The need of customization is needed when you want the fitting to be perfect according to your size, you want specific designs styles, specific quality of fabric, etc. So yeah there is a reason we have local tailors/kaam kernay walay, etc.
