Campaign to get Nel BANNED/Send message to ICC

Following the banning of Shoaib Akhtar for muttering a swear word at Paul Adams, I am starting up a campaign to get Andre Nel banned for two incidents which clearly brought the game into disrepute.

Firstly and more seriously, during the 5th ODI Nel clearly shouted and harangued Shoaib Malik in a prolonged outburst in a hostile manner and in fact next over Aleen Dar stepped in and had a word with Smith to calm the situation following umpire Daryl Hair’s failure to take action at the time.

Sledging is not allowed under the rules if applied strictly as they have been against Shoaib, so the PCB must act and make sure the laws are applied duly. If there is an email address for the PCB then we should contact them and urge them to act at once.

Also a query needs to be made about Nel’s ‘crybaby’ antics which if they are ok, we have to make sure our boys are also going to indulge in such gestures. I have already suggested we could have Shoaib mockingly wiping his arse in the direction of the SA batsmen every time he beats the bat. Or maybe holding the thumbs to the ears and waggling the fingers.

Any other suggestions for ridiculous gestures which are ok according to the ICC code of conduct can be entered in this thread and maybe they can be passed on to the players via these channels.

How about just laughing

"HA HA HA" :)

or may be Shivering/Fainting and falling on ground :)

No, laughing is no good we need actual gestures like Nel himself indulged in. I am thinking of this sort of thing:

Who cares, our board didnt lodge the complain at the right time. I dont blame them, they tried to keep the spirit of the series alive, but thanks to Shaoib Akhters lethal bowling, the Saffies had no choice but to use a little incident to get him banned for the next test.

Is there a time limit for lodging a complaint?

5 days.

I think the complain has to be lodged within 24 hours of the incident. The ICC then have 5 days to decide if they will persue the case or not. It use to 24 hours for ICC too but they changed it to 5 days recently. If the opposing team dont lodge a complain the ICC still have 5 days after any incident that they would like to investigate.

Count me in, but we should all complain to ICC and Richi Benaud about turning down Shoaib's appeal.
This is *ing messed up, how the * can you ban one player but the other goes unnoticed.
Does anybody have ICC or Richi Benaud's email address.

Umair, click on the link below and you can send your complaint directly to ICC and Richie Benaud.

Thanks but I need Richi Benaud’s email address, so I can give him a piece of what I think of him.
That ole ******* has double standards.
Did anybody watched the McGrath vs Sarwan confontration in Windies couple months back, and how he defended McGrath.

Benaud really likes Imran Nazeer, now that Imran Nazeers playing days are under question, we should gift him to Benaud and get shaoibs ban lifted.

the Mcgrath Serwan Incident was the thing that made me become part of GS this is how it happened. McGrath to Sarwan: "What does Brian Lara's ---- taste like?"

Sarwan replied: "I don't know, ask your wife."

McGrath began to walk away before turning back and heading to within a foot of Sarwan, screaming: "If you ever f------ mention my wife again, I'll f------ rip your f------ throat out."

Whatever Shoib did was no where near what Mcgrath said...and not past players but the australian Prime Minister defended his player.....

More than anything i am pissed at PCB...and their Inferiority complex that they have with white folks...they refused to report Hall Yoyo incedent to just to be nice to SA.

You can send him the email on the same address and they will forward it to him. You can send him an email on the following address:

[email protected]

Also check out the following:

Just click at the bottom where it says email richie and the team.

Anyother service.

Thanks ehsan, I just gave him a piece of mind.
I know it won't affect Shoaib's decision, but hopefully in the future he won't use his double standards when it comes to his own countrymen.

Actually the two parties who have come out of this worst are SA for their getting Shoaib banned while our board bent over backwards to accomodate their players obnoxious behaviour and Clive Lloyd. As a third umpire he saw what was going on but like Daryl hair has been turning a blind eye when it suits him.

There's a good reason for that, everyone knows that the West Indians in general are a bunch of colonised ass-kissers, how else do you explain their meek acceptance of the bouncer laws which were brought in to castrate their fast bowlers at their peak?

Clive Lloyd is not so much a 3rd umpire as a pet chimp. The only West Indian I have any respect for is Michael Holding. That guy doesn't take any $hit.

yaar I heard that PCB made a mistake and filed for the penalty not for the allegation... so Richie said that the penalty is right,if this kind of incident happened.
the news caster was saying something like that, i couldnt make it clearly, what does that mean,,,
