I would like to buy a digital camera but I am cluesless as to which one is of good quality with reasonable price in US. Can someone recommend some good brands and price range. Thanks
Re: Camera
Give us some more clues, barqun. What’s the budget range? Do you want to just get pointNshoot or do you want to get into some serious photography?
Re: Camera
If you want to buy some entry level DSLR camera then Nikon D3000 or D3001 is best for you.
Re: Camera
It depends on your budget

Re: Camera
If you’re buying a point-n-shoot digital camera than go for only Sony. Believe me I have tried all top brands and only Sony’s results are like no other.
DSCHX7V
Sony G lens
CMOS sensor
Budget=USD270
If you have G lens and CMOS censor combo with any >10MP you’re well covered and you can get a DSLR like picture quality in point-n-shoot. These are amazingly fine tuned cameras.
If you want to buy entry level DSLR then go for Nikon as suggest above or go for T2 or T3i depending on your budget with kit lens to begin with. I have T3i 18MP with kit lens 18-55 and a 50-250 lens for outdoors and I am well covered for great indoor pictures and for outdoor landscapes.
Budget=USD 1000.
Do not go for Sony or Olympus in DSLR. Go for Canon or Nikon only. Once comfortable, you can buy more expensive lenses in few years and get professional results with the entry level DSLR.
Re: Camera
I just need a camera to take family pics. I am not a photographer so i m not looking for a high tech camera just something we can use as a family
Re: Camera
I’m a fan of Canon point&shoot digital camera. Current one is a bit old but still fully functional, Canon SD750
Re: Camera
I would say get any sony or canon that’s within your budget. I currently have a Canon powershot SX200 and I love it.
