Re: camcorder

watch the following:

the CCD size,
atleast 10 x optical zoom, connection possibilitys like usb, firewire etc.

whats also handy, a built in foto function: while making a movie you press a button and a pic is made which you can either store on a memorycard or on the tape and remove it later on a pc

also easy: if the camera has a remote control, so you can hook it up to a tv and watch with remote.
Do check the the price of additional spare parts like batteries and stuf
I ll make u a list with some good ones :k:

k thanks kami does your's have REMOTE CONTROL?

You should give some kind of price limit or your budget. With evolving technology camcorders can range from quite cheap to extremely expensive. Not sure about UK, but in my mind, right now, for simple home use, one should not go beyond $300. There are fairly standard fare available from Panasonic, JVC or Canon in that price range. Sony is usually pricier for the features they provide. Most people opt for MiniDV these days. Buy something that fits nicely in your hands i.e. try them out at a store and then buy online to get the best deal.

well budget u can say 300 pounds max + i've had a look around the minidv is best buy @ pcworld and online + has a sound spec' i like that.
