Calling someone Kaafir

Need help from Muslims friends. I am trying to know what are implications for passing such statement? Are there any penalties? Is there any sunni or non-sunni point of view for calling someone Kaafir?

Your response will be highly appreciated!

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

depends, if you know the arabic meaning of Kaafir.

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

someone posted in this forum some time back (not that back) that when one muslim calls another muslim a kaafir, then one of them definitely is a kaafir…

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

And how often does it happen?

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

^ u think muslims these days follow all what Islam tells them to????

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

Yes.

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

^ sorry to shatter ur dreams then, they r not even 10% up to it....

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

How is it possible if majority of them start learning Islam at a minor age under the guidance of a learned Maullavi? You want to say that millions of them learn nothing? Whose fault is it, Maulvi’s or the lesson is faulty?

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

^ its just cuz u got ur facts wrong, majority of them do not undergo such a learning....

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

Wait…is my iformation incorrect that Muslims in Islamic states and in third world countries send their minors to Madrisa to learn Quran?

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

please provide some reference(s) Thanks! <---- not about the previous thread

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

AQ meanings could be different at times depends on the context. But am looking for some references if you were to call a non-muslim or a muslim as Kaafir

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

Open a thread for the same, don’t derail the topic at hand

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

I hope you find the following two ahadith helpful:

Ibn `Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "When a person calls his brother (in Islam) a disbeliever, one of them will certainly deserve the title. If the addressee is so as he has asserted, the disbelief of the man is confirmed, but if it is untrue, then it will revert to him.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, "If somebody accuses another of disbelief or calls him the enemy of Allah, such an accusation will revert to him (the accuser) if the accused is innocent.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

HAHAHAHA

Anjjan you are just acting like a “virus” :rotfl:

You have been asked not to derail the topic :hehe:

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

Once I was there at ISCON temple. Some kind of debate was going on on the life of Krishna. What was the debate…every one was talikng in pro and was ending in Hare Krishna. Sects favor a blocked mind.

I have asked a question to Armugal for my information, and how this question can derail the topic. Whereas any Muslim could answer this question.
Who is a ‘Kafir’? You are taught at Madrisa, if not somewhere else…

Is my iformation incorrect that Muslims in Islamic states and in third world countries send their minors to Madrisa to learn Quran?

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

^ Learning english language and understanding literature are two different things Kiddo, go fly your kite somewhere else

Sad, thanks for getting back I do have a question though with regards to calling someone Kafir

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

yet another misinterpratation/misunderstanding. Most “madrassas” that mass population sends their kids to only teach them how to “pronounce” or “read” Quran’s text (HINT: no understanding of text). Then there are madrassas which teach understanding of Quran and other texts of Islam but then thats all they teach, those are the ones blamed by west for resulting in “extremists/fundamentalists/terrorists” etc. so once again your post shows how far you are from reality and you think of yourself a learned person all about Pakistan, Islam and Muslims.

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

Thanks! You have answered my question. But cannot understand what are you justifying?

Re: Calling someone Kaafir

There is no “justification”, just explaination of why Muslims aren’t what they were supposed to be (atleast in subcontinent part).
