I do have some general interest in AI but more of a fictional kind. AI was optional in coursework, now I wish I had taken it. Although I did take a formal methods course on Logics and automata...but never went any further.
Just FYI: There is an upcoming "I, Robot" movie starring Will Smith and obviously based on Isaac Isomov's 'Robot' Novels. Can't wait to see someone speak out those famous rules man!

From the trailer, I don't think it's based on his Robot Novels, so much as, based on the world he created adn the rules he made. It says, however, that some rules are made to be broken, while Asimov's rules couldn't be broken. All the robots just going insane, sounds Matrix-like. I'll prolly still go watch it.
