Re: Calling all kaprey specialists....

in Pakistan we use different stuffs in winters. i have no idea either they will be available in Canada or not.. well karandy and khader they are thick stuff and good for winters but not best for maxi.. for maxi the best stuff is krinkle, shafoon, net, silk but they are not winter stuff .. but best for maxi..

linen is also a winter stuff.. very soft and comfy but khader and karadny they are bit hard and thick

Tab.D I want to get the material from pakistan itself but I just want to understand what materials are available .... And want to get some insight from our gs vendors and North american guppans what works for them in Canada...

Re: Calling all kaprey specialists....

When i last visited Pakistan which was over 10 years ago there used to be this lovely warm material called marina. I wonder if they still do it. There are also various types of linens (synthetic stuff not the stiff cottons) that have flow to them and are warm.

Re: Calling all kaprey specialists....

in Pakistan for winters available materials are linen, marina ( some sort of linen) , ka*****, khader, sweet leather ( very soft material) suti stuff, velvet..

but soft and light materials are jorget, silk, krinckle, shafoon, krinckle shafoon, net all are best for maxis and long gowns

i hope this will help you :)

Re: Calling all kaprey specialists....

khaddar is a thickly woven cotton. you can wear it in winter easily, as well as marina, wool, and velvet. they also sell linen in winters, but its not like the linen you wear in summers.

best thing to do for canadian winters is pull out the long johns!!!

what material do you wear over the long johns ..:D

Re: Calling all kaprey specialists....

over them, you can pretty much wear anything since they wont be visible.

Re: Calling all kaprey specialists....

salam. plz download some pics of thread n motiff n needle n impression clothes

Re: Calling all kaprey specialists....

hardest: khaddar (used for men mostly)
softer: currendy (used for men and woman both, PLUS 20 varieties in the market)

linen: for women (house clothes usually)
marina: softer sister of linen (wears better with washes too)

velvet: we all know!

:)

can you use currendy to make anarkalis or loose frocks.....which one would be warmer currendy or marina.???
