Hot bread is on Hillcroft. This other one is in the savoy lot. Another thing for you: There used to be a resturant inside Awami Markaz on Bissonnnet. They had to close the resturant and are delivering. I have tried and love all of their dishes including Tawa Kabab, kabab rolls, hunter beef sandwitch, egg sandwitch, haleem, koftay, chicken korma, bun kabab, anda and keema paratha and many more dishes. They deliver around hilcroft and if you mention that Joel gave you their number they might deliver to your place. If they dont let me know and I can ask them to. Their number is 832-603-4766.

us145 thanks for the number. Do you really think they are gonna deliver 1 hour drive away. If yes I am willing to take my chances & try some more food.

I went to Voss, but I guess this one is some other one. Not the one you guys mentioned. It was in a strip mall where there as an Indo-pak grocery store & Agha Juice. Mannnnn now I am impressed. I had their Falooda & Gola Ganda. Have always wanted to try a Gola Ganda. It was just out of this world. Can't wait for my siblings to see all this & Voss, we had their Tilapia Fry fish I guess & Shrimp Kat a Kat. Yummmm! I also got to see some alive Murghi & Baters. Oh myyyy. What a sight. Reminded me of Pakistan.

The only negative point all this is so so sooo far away from where I live.

Interesting thread...

I've my one mamu who moved to houston a couple of years back with family. They keep on tempting us to visit there and live due to two big reasons among several:

(a) Houses are cheap and huge as compared to what we have got here in NY alongwith less taxes

(b) Loads of desi stuff.. and yes but loadz I mean really a lot. God knows better.

So houstonians may correct these two points if they are wrong or give your input
/quote yes. A big yes. In Chicago a good 3 bedroom house in just an average suburb costs at least 300,000. Here the most expensive place has a house for 140,000. Wow. I don't know about taxes. I have heard that too. In the city of Chicago sales tax is 8.75 % & this was last year. Here in The Woodlands its the same.

(b) Never been to NY. But there is a lot of Desis here. Although I live way far but hey Houston even has a 24/7 desi radio. That's something for me.

Thats why I posted my name for you to reference if they tell you that they cant deliver. They delivered me on hilcroft when they live around Bissonnnet and dairy ashford. Also, you can prob meet them in the middle to get it delivered.

The voss I was talking about is the 2nd branch of the one you visited around the desi hub on hilcroft.

actually 2 24/7 radios. Sangeet radio and 1180 AM.

Sure Thanks Joel :) I'll try them now.

I am finding Houston interesting day by day now.
After some time I am gonna write all about Houston's desi places as well as American places so others can take advantage of that info. Out to check all places now.
