use skype , its the best. If you’re trying to call on landline or a cell phone then it’ll cost you $$ otherwise pc to pc is free.

your wrong… its free to call mobile to mobile (or pc to mobile) with correctly installed software… (skype for instance).

the answer to the original posters question is YES, use skype or any skype like service.

actually skype to landline or cell phone isn’t free and you have to preload some money into your skype account to make those calls.

Unfortunately VOIP in Pakistan is still illegal. The logic given by Pakistan government is that since government has a company which operates long distance call system in Pakistan therefore VOIP hurts national exchequer .

please read the original posters question (however vague), “to call a mobile free via internet” specifically “is there any way to make call through internet within Pakistan to mobile?” YES, skype to skype(or any Voip to voip) will be free.

good info there i dint know that, its a losing battle to try and stop the internet partially. Telecoms companies around the world have been makng huge profits , now they face free internet calls , even big western telecom companies are worried, they have had it good for so long, its time for a revolution.

Yes Pakistan government has made telecom , adha teeter adha bateer and consumer are suffering .
Government owns and controls the long distance and internet infrastructure they have to let it go out of their control but they do not want that because they will not be able to control communication networks anymore which they are scared of. They want to be able to switch that off if there is some anti government movement going on in the country.
Long distance call from USA to Pakistan is still expensive because PTCL has high connection charges for calls originating from outside of Pakistan and terminating in Pakistan.

International calls from PK mobiles to US is cheaper than calling from mobile to mobile within PK.

That is correct calling from Pakistan to US is cheaper than calling from US to Pakistan .
The point here is that PTCL monopoly is hurting the consumer’s and stopping many entrepreneurs to start VOIP services in Pakistan for stupid logic of hurting the national exchequer.
