Anyone looking into buying this? I was pleased with the previous episode, and think I’ll invest in this. Looks good too.

As soon I get my PS3 .. this is going to be the first one I am gonna buy... I just ordered my Wii though so that my son can have some time in front of the tv, before I occupy it with the PS3.

I would have liked to get the MW2 special edition 250GB XBox 360. I'm not really into the series otherwise.

Maybe I'll download the demo and try it out. I've tried the Call of Duty 3 demo a long time ago, but it didn't convince me to buy the game.

alot of the pc people are boycotting this cuz of no dedicated servers for this game.

I played this at my nephew’s house today… will definitely be getting my own copy of the game soon :k:

Darned decisions! I’m split between XBox Elite Edition or PS3 250GB Slim with this game?

A friend of mine’s got XBox Elite and this game and he just cannot stop raving about it. I don’t blame him, the game is sweet.

yea i think this is the most hyped game since halo 3.

PS3 Hands down…Its an awesome platform…blue ray player..amazing interface…powerful system…and slim looks very sleek…

and plus you have to pay to play multiplayer on xbox…ps3 is free…

Yeah, that’s true. I really like the blu-ray option and free multiplayer as well. But I heard the graphics on XBOX are better? Is that true?

I’m looking to buy the Limited Edition bundle or the PS3 250GB

I need to make a decision by tomorrow, and so far from what I’ve heard everyone’s saying XBOX rocks the house (I’m guessing particularly because of MW2, and the fact that it has both controllers, etc).

Suggestions/comments/tips/things to look out for? Also, would you buy the extended warranty from say GeekSquad? Or just stick with standard manufacturer’s from Microsoft?

Here’s the thing, and I’ll be honest with ya guys: Is it really worth forking out another $60+ for the game, $50 or so for the extra controller, and then ofcourse $40 for remote? I guess i’m just looking for something of a swing vote :hehe:

Considering that you’ve already invested in a library for XBox 360, I’d be inclined toward the Limited Edition MW2 XBox 360 Elite with 250 GB hard drive and 2 controllers. I’ve also heard something about the XBox 360 version having a better frame rate, though I haven’t personally tried the game myself.

IMO the major advantages with the PS3 version would be the free online and generally more reliable hardware. Another thing to consider would be which console more of your friends are playing it on. Also, which controller do you prefer in general? And for FPS games?

I read a review on Amazon on PS250 GB..Now I m more inclined to 120 GB :)..

So, I went with the advice of dear friend CB (for ordering thru Amazon) and ordered XBox 360 Limited Edition bundle from Amazon, with a next day shipping of just $3.99. :smiley: So, at a total of $402, i’m all set to go. HDMI will have to wait :frowning:

I shall receive it tomorrow. I’ve already bought the GTA Episodes from Liberty City before the console arrives. It’ll be a study-less, and all-gaming weekend.

Thank you all again for suggestions, and feedback.

I chose against the PS3 (At least for now) because:

  1. All my current, or majority of games are for Xbox, so I’d like to be able to play 'em still.
  2. Majority of friends are on XBox Live.
  3. XBox bundle is just too sweet a deal to pass up, over PS3 which lacks extra controller, headset, etc. (Basically, same price as XBox bundle w/out the accessories and goodies).

What really sold me on the deal was

  1. XBox Live, and 1 month free of Gold, console comes with Silver as default.
  2. Includes 2 controllers, and headset (wired but hey better than nothing).
  3. Number of games available, and what I already have.

Performance-wise, will have to play it a bit to report back.
