Suppose the madam of your local brothel goes around to the girls in only certain rooms of the bordello to tell them that they put on way too much makeup. They look like whores. Truth is, so does the madam. So does every other whore in the bordello. When they confront the madam to point this out, the pimp jumps in to say “shut yo trap, whoe! You be derailing this here converstation”. They are meant to feel like they are the only whores in town who look like drag queens.
Sure, the offended girls could go to the other rooms and let those other hussies have it. You look like freakin clowns! But they choose not to be so rude or offensive. Besides, the same rules wouldn’t apply in the favored wenches’ rooms. They can come right back with “you slept with the American Natives and killed them” and “How can you ever lie with another man after what you did to Nagasaki?”

I tried to ask Nadia why she expected so much more out of the US than she did of other culpable countries. Namely Russia, Pakistan and India. After all, she was the one who brought up historical relationships vis a vis aid to Afghanistan. That was not related to the topic. If it was, then so was my retort that other countries have historical relationships with Afghanistan so we must ask them to pay up as well.
See where I’m coming from? My deleted posts at least an attempt to counter a previous poster’s position. These bash-the-US threads are no such attempt. They only exist to curse the US, regardless of the intent of the original post.

i think i am misunderstanding you here, Seminole, but the "Saudi Arabia: Racism at it's best" thread does not have as its focus the practice of bashing the US. Not every thread in the World Affairs Forum is devoted to bashing the US; we have had a decent-sized handful of threads regarding South Africa. Never has anyone bashed the US in those. And please check out my post in the Racism in Saudi Arabia thread, where do i blame the US? Where do i even mention the US? On the contrary, i am bashing Arab governments more than anyone else in that thread. If it seems as though the majority of Guppies in the WA Forum bring up the US regarding any topic, then it MIGHT be because the US government has so many links to the topics that are most frequently discussed in that Forum ("hot" topics such as Palestine, Afghanistan, oil and politics, Guantanamo detainees, etc.).
The post in the SA racism thread I was referring to was not attributed to you. It has since been deleted.
My complaint is that anything the US has ever done is fair game to come up in any thread whether it is related to the topic or not. Anytime another country is mentioned (oh, let's say Pakistan) by a pro-US poster in trying to draw comparisons or parallels to the topic, it is quickly deleted.
When the madams and their crony wenches start losing their customers to the new and improved american hotties of the bordello. The madams just shut the rooms down. The reason....they are reminded of their mediocre service and thereby loss of customers. No room...no competition. Nome sayn!
