Call for the real Geniuses!

Re: Call for the real Geniuses!

its not really a transition. Sort of a parallel funbar, like my pocket pc. I don't take my wintel laptop around anymore (which is actually lighter). But i think i've learned a lot, there's some stuff that can be done on Mac's (the new OS has Spotlight, indexes ur PC) and ofcourse the cmd-line stuff cuz of the Darwin. Its fun. Networking is lot easier, the handoff from wired to wireless to GPRS is effortless, the graphics have somewhat more depth (my Sony Laptop has awesom resolution).

I guess I'm still transitioning.

Re: Call for the real Geniuses!

chalo, good luck on the transition then

and yeah... i installed the OS on other hard drive... created two partitions... 40G and 80G
40G has os and program files... the other one has the data folders from the old hard drive..

have installed the favorite utilities.. and slowly beginning to realize whats missing..
ghost management console is a pain... prolly have to call symantec...

Thank you all for the help ! I look forward to get a chance to return the favor. (not wishing for ur comps to crash... just saying :)

Re: Call for the real Geniuses!

TofiBaba, Mac does not allow itself yo be abused like a Windows machine does (not as much as the older Windows). Thats was the fun of it.

Re: Call for the real Geniuses!

I guess u need to know some abusing techniques ;)

Re: Call for the real Geniuses!

IMHO, you are guessing wrong.

The inherent design of the Windows operating system allows itself to be supremely more abused compared to the MacOS.

Contrary to Windows, MacOS matured much FASTER. I still remember how horrible MacOS 7.x was (1997) and used to crash like crazy with just a little bid of fiddling.
