Anyone have a recommendation for a mehndi artist? I’m looking for heavier designs and someone that preferably lives in the OC/LA area. I went and contacted Henna Dil Se and they’re busy…and charging close to 600. I’m trying to keep it less than 250 if possible.
Along those same lines, foot mehndi - yay or nay? I’m deciding whether it’s worth it…

did you ask your makeup artist or photographer? i think farrah in inland empire (she's a makeup artist) also does mehndi.

^oh, and i would look on facebook too. there's a lot of local girls i know who do henna/mehndi and have seen their facebook pages.

I looked on facebook but either haven't gotten a response after contacting them or they're too far. So was curious if anyone had anyone they knew/had used before that was reasonable. It's shocking how high some rates are...someone just quoted me 100/hr + travel and said it would take her 5 hours at least. I DEF can't afford that. :S

have you looked on yelp? ... search for henna tatoo nd bridal henna.
if i were you id focus on finding a good artist in your budget (desi or nondesi) ... have a pic of henna design u want ready. a good artist can copy it for you.

do any of you girls know how they get that color variation in the mehndi design? and what is that even called?
